what if
i envy the oblivious
too brainwashed
to be curiousthose who don't seek
for questions with no answers
that let you down to meet
the truth that nothing mattersi had no choice
but to take off my blindfold
to listen to the voice
that urges me to remoldthe humans and their greed
for something we can't be
when it is money that leads
us to be unfreethey tell us this is it
working till the end our days
shift after shift
this will be our little alwaysif i riot
against lies too polished
they'll stay quiet
deprived from knowledgeso i am left here
in the mess they've created
i try to remember what we were
before love was tradedwhat if
i envy the oblivious
i wouldn't be in so much pain
if i hadn't been so curiouswhat if
my what if's
and the questions with no answers
were my personal graveyard shifts
