as time passes
the neon lights begin to flicker
life is widowed
to endure we drown in liquor
i am a leisurely wanderer
of city streets
searching endlessly
for the missing piece
the world began in millions
i wonder who put them whole
darkness doesn't exist
only the absence of light and
there's one absent in my soulhow is autumn so pretty
when everything is dying
we put a prize on life
when it's death we're buying
