Lost is a lovely place to find yourself

My body hanging over the edge
I spit out doubts and thoughts
I feel the bones under my skin
Trying to rip off what I was born in

But then I trip, I stumble and I fall so deep
In this place there is nothing else to keep
Nothing but you, me, us
Us?- there is no us, I run and run and run from you
But I find no place to escape to

Home brings out question marks in my mind
They say lost is a lovely place to find yourself
But I've been lost for quite a while
and misery was all I could find

Things have been falling off the shelf
My knowledge of life seems to disappear
So does my body, day by day but then I look into the mirror just to see I am still here

I am still here
