In the midst of a grey crowd my colorful dreams seem out of place
there are loud voices here and there but my heart whispers to me something else to embrace
do we unlearn all the things that we were taught
do we unlearn rules to learn purpose and realize all we got
with your back standing against your spirit, a blindness that will return to you as a wishful vision
I turned my back on the worlds expectations, with everyone shouting it's the wrong decision
to be or not to be is to me
to see or not to see
that this isn't all there is
because when the universe exists only for your eyes to take in,
tell me, shouldn't you spend your life in a way that will stop your soul from aching,
aching, a feeling you'll often borrow
but it can leave your body longing for a precious moment called tomorrowI never said it out loud but I wanna be more than just alive,
wanna see the end as more than just a place to arrive
I want to feel so deeply, despite knowing the
unpreventable hurt from people that'll leave
I want to feel so deeply, because that's the only way it will make me believe, believe in a life that's worth living
