I clung onto Scarlett like my life depended on it. In a way, it sort of did. It didn't exactly depend on it but it connected to it. My life connected to hers and I had to keep in mind that I wasn't the only one practically dying as we speak. My very own identical twin sister was right by my side going through exactly what I was going through.

"I love you, Scarlett. We're going to do this together, even though we kind of have to no matter what." I chuckled sadly. "We're in this together."

She nodded. "I love you, too."

We pulled apart and looked at each other. The sad looks on our tear stained faces showed that we had to gain enough courage to go home and tell everyone while they're still together. I kissed her forehead and she kissed mine before we split apart to hop in the SUV. Tears continued to stream down my face and I questioned if they would ever stop. I know that I have to face Harry and tell him and deal with his reaction and pretend like it's not ripping me to bits and little pieces when I see how hurt he is. I just want this last month to be spent with him and everyone I care about.

The car ride was completely silent except for the typical outdoorsy noises. The radio was turned off, Scarlett wasn't tapping her fingers on the steering wheel like she typically would and I wasn't erratically bouncing my foot on the carpeted floor of the vehicle. Apart from the outdoor noises, the only sounds were our sniffles. It wasn't an awkward silence, it was sort of a fearful silence. Like, we didn't know the right thing to say but at the same time we were relishing-in-the-moment. Way too soon for my liking, Scarlett turned the corner and we were on my street. She turned into my driveway. The very first thing I noticed was lack of Range Rover presence. Crap, did Harry leave?

I hopped out of the car and made a run for the door. Everyone looked stressed, sitting silently on the couch just looking anywhere. The moment I opened the door, all heads flicked up and they all stood up. Scarlett appeared behind me and began crying harder than she already was but I searched for my lover. Where is he?

Johannah stood up and grabbed my arms gently, "Oh Darcy, Harry got a call from his mum. He said something about a 'Romeo', I think it was, and stormed out." My mom gave me a worried look and a nod so I turned to Scarlett.

"Scar..." Her eyes widened a bit, as if to say 'please don't leave me alone here'. I grabbed onto her arm and told her to keep them company and that when I come back, we can tell them.

I looked over at our family giving up confused and sorrowful glances. "Scarlett and I have some news to share. Please wait until I get back for us to tell you. Right now, I have to find Harry and comfort him."

I smiled sadly at Scarlett and then caught Brian's keys in midair. I hadn't realized he had thrown them to me until I looked over. "Thank you." I said before running out.

Thankfully, Brian's truck was parked in front of the house instead of the garage so I hurriedly jumped in and started the vehicle. I didn't wait for the truck to warm up, I just drove. Harry's penthouse wasn't far from my house at all so it took about 5 minutes to get there but there was no sign of his Range Rover at all. I kept driving around town, thinking of places of where he could've gone and it wasn't until I saw an ice cream sign that I had a good idea of where he could've gone. It was either the safe haven behind school or the tree house. Harry and I would usually eat ice cream in one of those places. I tried the school first.

Just as sort of expected, the parking lot was empty except for the one car - Harry's Range Rover. I pulled into the parking space next to his vehicle and then sprinted to the path. Once I reached the path, I caught my breath and gave myself time to be calm and as healthy as I could possibly be. If I had one more month, then so be it, I'll make the most if it but I have to keep myself alive somehow, whether its staying fit or giving myself a break. My heart pounded against my ribs as I walked down the path. Every crunch of a twig or leaf made me quiver with fear and dread of what was going to happen next. Next thing I knew, I was standing at the end of the path, watching Harry pace back and forth on the bridge, pulling his hair tightly while sobbing.
