Darcy
Harry was ecsatic about my want to go to England to meet his family and see his brother but we didn't look much into it about when we're going there and how we're going to pay for it. You'd think that $1,450 isn't much for a 5 day flight to England but with poverty running through this country, it's quite a lot.
"Remember that date I had postponed?" Harry chimes as he heads out the door.
"Yep. What about it?"
"We're going on it tonight. Be awake by 10:00 pm. Oh and dress casual but warm." Harry spoke as he stepped outside and closed the door. I stood there, dumbfounded. Merely seconds later, the door opened to reveal the curly-haired boy whom I am in the midst of falling for.
"I'm sorry for being so demanding but you have no other choice. Please be ready by 10. See ya." He pressed a light kiss to my cheek and another to the top of my forehead, then walked out the door.
Still standing there with my forehead pressed against the door, I waited for the car engine to fade as it drove down the street, before heading upstairs to take a warm bath. When I had gotten out of the bath, I wrapped myself in a lavender laced bathrobe and went to the kitchen to find my mom already home, starting to cook dinner since it was almost 7.
"Hey sweetie, how was your day?"
"It was pretty great. Harry and I spent it together and we talked and relaxed all day. He said he was going to take me on a date tonight, too." I chirped.
"That's nice. What time are you lovebirds going on that date?"
I grabbed a grape and plopped it in my mouth before sitting on a stool, watching my mom cook. "10 o' clock tonight. Before you say that 10 is too late--"
"Nonsense." she cut me off. "Go on that date with Harry. He's a great boy. I trust him. I like him. I think he's perfectly compatible for you. Therefore, I grant you permission to attend a late night date with your soul mate."
Saying I was shocked with her response would be an understatement. I was expecting her to argue with me until she caved in but I hadn't even started my argument. She trusts me and Harry.
"S-Seriously?" I stuttered.
"Of course. This is your first date with your soul mate, correct?" I nodded. "Well, if you're going to spend the rest of your life with your soul mate, you better make the most of it. Psh, forget about that, I want you to live a long, healthy, happy life. If going on a date with Harry will make you happy, go knock yourself out with those dates, for all I care."
I let out a loud squeal and twirled around with a wide grin on my face. I gave her a kiss on her cheek and waltzed up the stairs, to my room. It was a bit early to start getting dressed so to pass time, I layed on my bed and read The Fault In Our Stars. Predictable, eh? Just a bit.
I would love to have my own Augustus Waters (one that's cancer-free and won't die-- not that I have a problem with that) but of course that's fiction. He's way too good to be true. Gus is very adorable, might I say. I've seen the movie but it's not nearly as good as the book. A book gives you more details so you can actually have a sense of what's going on and being felt.
"Dinner's ready!" Mom shouts after about an hour. With my 'nose stuck far into the book' I kept reading as I slowly but sucessfully made my way to the dining room. I read the rest of the paragraph and then forced myself to close the book (not before doggy-earing it) and sat down to eat with my mom. We talked about school and what-not and even watched a movie to pass time. By the time I got up to my room it was 9:00 which was more than enough time for me to get ready.
