The Guide

After Korra was healed and Dawn was back to normal, she was by Mako's side the entire time trying to help figure out why Varrick was destroying his own ships and companies. The two were confused as to how the man would want to waste money just to try and help the south, and as Dawn was looking over the remote control, she sighed and watched as Mako was pacing. "It's going to be hard to prove to the chief that it's Varrick. He has the money and power to get out of prison right now. Everyone thinks it's still the North over the attacks." She told Mako, making him frown as he sat down next to her.

She tilted her head, staring at the controls as her fingers brushed against the curves of the metal. "Well, I have no idea how to help. And Korra is off to see Tenzin, so I'm staying here to see if things will get better." She breathed out, and that's when she looked up and Mako was just staring at her.

She furrowed her eyebrows and grinned slightly. "What?" She asked and he sighed.

"Nothing, it's just- -" he paused and bit his bottom lip as the girl could tell something was really bothering him.

"Mako, tell me." She insisted, and the boy sighed.

'Asami and I are kinda back together.' He wished he could tell her, but instead he put on a fake smile and helped her up.

"Why don't we go to Bolin and ask if Varrick's there?" He asked and she smiled and nods her head.

"Okay, good thinking." She stated and walked with him towards the Mover Studio that Varrick has set up.

They walked towards the scene area and saw Bolin hanging from a large prior of bird feet and Asami there as well. "Asami, there you are. Is Bolin around?" Mako asked and Dawn giggled while pointing up at the ceiling.

"He's right there." She stated as Bolin blushed and looked away from her.

"Good. We've got something to tell you both." Mako said while Bolin struggled to get out of the bird's feet and when he slipped loose, he fell with a scream.

He landed on the ground and groaned as Dawn lifted her hand and air spun Bolin up and made him stand. "Uh, thanks Dawn." He breathed out, rubbing his shoulder.

"No problem, gotta practice somehow." She grinned.

"I got to stop doing my own stunts." Bolin breathed out.

"I found out who's been stealing from Future Industries: Varrick." Mako whispered while Asami raised an eyebrow and Bolin made his way over to the group.

"What? No." Bolin denied.

"He attacked his own ship?" Asami asked Mako and Dawn nods her head.

"Think about it. You make yourself look like a victim when you don't want to get caught." She tried to explain. "It's a perfect diversion."

"Yes! It was a ploy. He wants Republic City to go to war, and he wants control of the businesses that stand to profit the most from it. He already had all the shipping. All he needed was Future Industries." Mako told Asami.

"Varrick helped save Future Industries. He's my business partner now, not an evil mastermind. Mako, you seem stressed." Asami said while placing a hand on his arm.
