Old Wounds
As morning came through, the metal plates over Zaofu bloomed open like a flower as Dawn was already awake for the day and down at the table, eating breakfast with Bolin and Mako by her side. "Hey, has anyone seen Chief Beifong?" Mako asked, his eyes glancing around the table for his boss as Dawn bit her bottom lip.
"She's probably off sulking in her room." Korra mumbled into her food as she picked at it.
Su looked at Korra with a stern face. "I know she has a problem with me, but she had no right to yell at Opal last night." She stated while footsteps approached and one of the culprits grabbed Dawn from her seat as she squealed and allowed him to take her.
"All set for your power disc game today, guys?" Su asked the twins as Dawn giggled while she was placed down gently between the two and Wei kissed her cheek.
"Good morning." He greeted while Dawn blushed and Mako grumbled as he slid down in his seat and Bolin raised an eyebrow at his brother.
"Yeah, all set to kick Wei's butt." Wing stated while slapping an apple out of Wei's hand and taking it from him.
Dawn sighed, watching as the two bickered and she looked to Su. "They will do great, but I will do better." She teased and hugged both of them in a tight grip as the dropped their food and gasped for air.
"I'm going to power disc your face." Wei threatened and tickled Dawn's side to make her gasp and start laughing as both twins gained up on her.
Wei then took the advantage and punched Wing in the gut to him him grunt and hold onto his side. "You should come play with us." Wei looked to Korra who declines the offer.
"Oh, I don't think I'd be much competition since I can't metalbend." Korra said and Dawn frowned as she looked to Suyin with a worried look.
"Really? Lin or Dawn never offered to train you?" Su asked as she gave a glare to Dawn.
"Well, it was my police training." She muttered and rubbed the back of her neck to Su as she shook her head.
"Nope, and I guess I never thought to bring it up because I was learning to airbend, then there was the pro-bending, then I got tied up fighting the equalists. It was a busy few months." Korra said while Suyin sighed and just smiled at the Avatar.
"Well, it's probably for the best. I'm sure Lin would be a horrible teacher." Su chuckled and Dawn did have to agree with that. Lin and Korra always butted heads, even when she first got to Republic City.
Korra laughs with Su and she continues. "As the Avatar, you should have mastery over all the elements. I'd be happy to show you the basics." Su offered.
"Really? That would be great." Korra said excitedly.
Opal glanced at Bolin who had his mouth full. "You should try it too." She told him as he gulped and made sure he wasn't going to choke.
"Uh, nah, I'm more of an Earth guy. The dirt, rocks, you know, maybe some light gravel- - that's kind of where my heart is." Bolin told her as Dawn raised an eyebrow at how he was acting.
"Okay, Earth guy. Well, let me know if you change your mind." Suyin told him and that's when a power humming started, causing everything metal in the room to start shaking.
