First Knight Aston Ezalor is standing at the balcony of his office while he is savoring the sight of the Tree of Life standing proud and magical as always. It’s good to see that after a million years of taking care of the tree it’s still boosting with magical prowess. Many scientists have tried to uncover the secrets of its unending power but none of them succeeded. Maybe they’re ancestors left it to be undiscovered for some reason.
He is the First Knight Aston Ezalor, the commanding general of the Knights of Eternal Flame. The Knights are the fire Country’s force in guarding the Tree of Life. There are four forces protecting the sanctity of the tree. The Air fairy’s forces are called Sentinels of the Soaring Wings, the Earth forces are called the Armors of the Sacred Land, the Water fairy’s forces are called Warriors of the Water Frost and lastly the Fire fairy’s, the Knights of the Eternal Flame. All of the forces have special power and magic that helps them in guarding the Tree. All of them have only one goal and that is keeping the Tree safe to those fairies who are trying to steal or destroy its power.
Aston smiled then small knocks from the door catches his attention.
“Come in…”
“Busy?”
Upon hearing that smooth soft voice ay automatikong gumuhit ang kakaibang ngiti sa kanyang mga labi. Those smiles he only gave to her. He is always a strict serious type person when it comes to dealing with things concerning the Tree. But when it comes to this woman ay biglang naiiba ang aura nya from dark to light.
The woman walks towards him then she put her soft slender arms on top of his broad shoulder then gently plot soft kiss on his lips.
“What do you want for dinner?”
Sandali syang nagisip aside from her beautiful face she is also an excellent cook. Wala ata itong nilutong pagkain sa kanya na hindi nya nagustuhan. Kahit simpleng ulam ay napapasarap nito. At naging isa iyon sa mga dahilan kung bakit mahal na mahal nya ang babae. Mabait din ito and she’s not nagging about him for being busy at work. She always understands everything he does. In short she is too good to be true. Hindi pa man ganoon katagal ang relasyon nila ay pakiramdam niya ay isa na lang naman ang kulang sa kanilang dalawa and that is marriage. Actually kung sya ang tatanungin ay gustong gusto na nya. But every time he asks her, she’s always turning down his offer. At first ay hindi nya ito maintindihan but when he knows the reason behind her no’s ay naintindihan na din nya ito. She came from a broken family kaya naman hindi sya naniniwala sa concept ng marriage. But he’s still hoping that one day ay papayag na din ito na magpakasal sa kanya because they’re not getting any younger. Sooner or later ay magreretire na din sya sa trabahong iyon at magfofocus na lng sya sa pamilya na bubuuin nya kasama ito.
“I love anything you cook, you know that.”
She smiled. The sweetest smile he ever seen. “Okay… be sure to be home by 6 or you’ll be dead.” Anito at may pagkindat pa sa kanya. He pinched her small cute nose and kissed her red lips.
“I will.”
Tinitigan nya ito at ito din sa kanya. They always have that moment when they’re not saying words to each other. They simply feel happiness overflowing their system.
“When are you going to say yes Clinda?”
Sa tanong na iyon biglang sumeryoso si Clinda then she hugs him. “I don’t believe in forever and happily ever after… you know that.”
“You know I’m dead serious on marrying you.”
Katahimikan ang namayani sa kanilang dalawa. Clinda is still hugging him while she’s staring at the majestic Tree of Life na tanaw na tanaw niya mula sa balkonahe ng opisina nito. Okay she admits it day by day ay unti unti na ding nahuhulog ang loob nya dito and she loves him. And she knows that what she feels about him is true at walang halong pagpapanggap. He is the one who pick her up when she realize Chase’s death. She can’t handle death so easily. She’s poor on that but this man thought her about life. But there are things and situations na kahit anong gawin nya ay hindi na mababago pa. And that fact is that she is a member of the Black Order, who is now currently plotting something bad about the Tree of Life. The one thing he’s protecting to. The one thing he is willing to die for. That’s why she needs to leave him before the Order turns this world into a roller coaster ride.
