PLACE: EMERGENCY ROOM OF SAINT HAVEN TEACHING AND TRAINING HOSPITAL- the noisiest part of the hospital. People are chatting all over. Some are crying with their dead love ones, some are happy for their love ones has been revived, some are angry and fighting due to vehicular accidents happened and nurses and doctors are busy doing their job. But one particular person is angrily scolding her dying relative while nurses are preventing her to mingle with the doctors trying to save the life of the dying old man.
If you will look at her she just looks like an 18 year old college student due to her young appearance. She is possessing an average height, a porcelain chalk colored skin, rosy cheeks and lips, reddish auburn brown hair with perfect curls at the tips and unbelievably fierce pair of eyes. But if you will look at her eyes closely you will notice that she is wearing a pair of black contact lenses. Many people tend to buy contacts with colors of blue or green or even red but this girl is different. And she is more than different like you can’t even imagine how.
“Don’t you dare die old man!! I swear I’m not gonna forgive you if you did! I swear that!!” galit na sigaw ni Aria.
Some people on the ER are looking at them at sa mga nurses na pumipigil sa kanya. Napatigil din ang mga nagaaway sa kabilang tabi dahil sa lakas ng boses nya.
“Doc. Chandler, maybe its better if you will just seat there for a while.”
And yeah I forgot to mention that she is actually a doctor at this hospital.
Galit na binalingan ni Aria ang nurse na nangahas na kausapin sya. “Why are you stopping me to go there? I have to check on him! Get out of the way!” aniya at akmang lalakad na palapit sa nakasaradong kurtina na kung saan naroon ang kamag-anak na pinapagalitan.
Actually hindi nmn nya ito pure blooded na kamag anak. The old man dying on the other side of the curtain is actually the person left to be considered as her family. He is his God father. His bestfriend. His protector. And his second father. Mula ng mamatay ang ama nya ay ito n ang tumayong parang ina at ama nya. Her family tree is as short as a bonsai tree. In short sya na lamang ang natitirang Chandler sa mundo. General Leo is the only person who knows everything about her, everything even her deepest and darkest secrets.
“Doctor Aria Chandler.”
That voice stops her from opening the curtain.
“You know the rules. Relatives shouldn’t be there.”
Aria looks at the man who stops her. He is Doctor Zayden Burmington. One of the best surgeons in the whole city and probably the whole world. All eyes na naman sa kanya ang mga empleyado sa hospital na iyon. Aside kasi a gwapo ang doctor na ito ay malapit din sya ditto. He is one of her bestfriend and former classmate in med school.
No one dared to talk to her when she is just studying medicine. Aside kasi sa sobrang talino, ganda at yaman nya ay hindi din sya palaimik. Well she has reasons for being a snob person. Tanging ito lamang at ang doctor na kasalukuyang sumasagip a buhay ng ninong nya ang naging ka-close nya. And its all because may utang na loob ang dalawang ito sa kanya.
“I can’t just seat there and wait for them to do their job while I know that I can do it better!”
Napangiti nalang si Zayden. “Hmmm.. if Cooper hear you said that he’s gonna kick you’re ass out here.”
Ang tinutukoy ni Zayden ay si Doctor Paul Cooper who in fact heard every word she said dahil malapit lang sila sa kurtina kung saan naroon ito at iniintubate si Gen. Leo.
“I heard it Burmington.” Anito a binuksan na ang nakatakip na kurtina.
BUmungad kay Aria ang naka intubate ng si Gen Leo, cardiac monitor is also attached on him monitoring his heart rate and rhythm. Napabuntonghininga sya when she saw that he is currently stable.
