Kili

I was leaning against a big rock scanning the camp for my brother and Des. No luck. "Ay, laddie! You alright?" Gloin asked.

"Yeah. I'm just looking for Fili. Have you seen him last?" I asked.

"Ay, him and that lass, Iredessa, trudged into the forest last I saw," he pointed to the trees.

I nodded a thank you and started making my way over. "Kili!" I jumped and fell on my back. "Oh Kili are you alright?" Des asked pulling me up. "I didn't mean to startle you!"

"Eh, it's fine." Fili winked at me, but it seemed a little faked.

"Kili! You want some bird?" She asked, stopping my thoughts.

"Bird?" I asked confused.

"Yeah I shot one a way back in the forest. Want some?" She held up a bird impaled by an arrow.

"Er... no thank you. I just ate." She shrugged and tossed it behind her to Bombur's direction.

Des yawned, "I'm really tired..."

Fili nodded, "Yeah me too, cmon."

The three lingered over to an empty spot and set up our rest. Fili was on the left, Des in the middle, and me on the right. We chatted for the next hour before Des started drifting off. Fili chuckled "I'm going to go talk to Thorin, I'll be back in a bit." I nodded as he walked off.

Des yawned. "You tired?"

"Very," she responded.

"Well you better get some rest. It's been a busy first day."

She nodded, stifled a yawn, and layed her head on my shoulder. "Good night Kili."

"Good night Dessa," I said as she dosed off.
