A/N I hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas! Or if you celebrate another holiday as well. Can we talk about the amount of how much I have updated? Crazy I know! So anyway I hope you enjoy!

Trudging up the slippery mountain was less then exciting. It was freezing and the grumbling of the Company was driving not only I, but Bilbo as well, crazy. "This is in no way better then Rivendell. Or the Shire for that matter," I whispered to Bilbo. He was a little shaken up after nearly plummeting to his death but he nodded. "Do you think we will be stopping soon? I mean you and Thorin both almost died! It isn't really safe." I paused. "Along with the rest of this voyage..."

It wasn't for another good hour or two that Thorin sent Dwalin and Fili to search for caves. Nevertheless we still were climbing the dangerous slope. The two returned quite quickly and informed Thorin that they found one. I let a sigh of relief escape my mouth before jogging the rest of the peak to the cave.

"It looks safe enough," Dwalin said.

Thorin looked around uncertainly. "Check to the back. Caves in mountains are seldom unoccupied."

Dwalin grunted and picked up a lantern and headed into the cave. The rest of the group began to file in despite the fact he had not come back. Bilbo even followed. I however stayed back rather close to the edge and leaned against a rock slowly. "There's nothing here." Dwalin said returning.

I found that good enough to unpack along with the rest of the dwarves. Gloin drops the wood he had been carry and said, "Alright let's get a fire go."

"No," said Thorin. "No fires in this place. Get some sleep, we start at first light."

Balin stepped forward. "We were to wait in the mountains until Gandalf joined us. That was the plan."

"Plans change. Bofur take the first watch," Thorin snapped before lying down on the damp rock.

I sighed to myself before squeezing Bilbo's hand and walking over to Fili and Kili. I sat in between them while silently taking my blanket out and laying down (it didn't help though. It just got soaked) "Hey Dess!" Fili said sitting next to me. I yawned in response.

"Tired are we?" Kili asked sitting at my other side. I waved him off and sat down leaning against the rock. "I see."

I smiled slightly before yawning again. "I am very tired. *yawn* And ready for sleep." The both of them nodded. Not long after I and the rest of the Company drifted off.

She turned and rolled and shivered. It felt like had only gotten ten minutes of sleep before Des had to reposition herself, which was probably true. Once it was too cold. Another it was uncomfortable. Then the next time the ground seemed to change when she had finally found a comfortable position. She began to move then realized the ground began to disappear. Panic ran through her nerves and she quickly reached for her things as the ground began to slip and her along with the rest of the Company, who were all awake now and screaming, began to fall. Fall into a wooden cage.

Before anyone knew what was happening a bunch of goblins swarmed them, grabbing them and pulling them along a wooden bridge. Dessa was being pulled so fast she could barely keep her feet moving.

The group was taken to an opening in the caves were an abominable creature sat. A towering goblin who was ginormous with a deep cackling voice. The Goblin King jumped off of his throne, trampling a few goblins in the process, and questioned them, "Who would be so bold as to come armed into my kingdom?"
