Dess
After a meal of delicious food (but not to the dwarves) the Company, minus Thorin, Balin, and Gandalf, headed to a gazebo and instantly started cracking jokes.
Fili was joking with Bofur, Bombur was sitting in a bench eating a bowl of sausages, and Kili was leaned up against a fence. I had my head laying on his chest and his arm was wrapped around me. He seemed very happy and wouldn't tell me why. Bilbo had gone to take a walk around Rivendell. As much as I loved the dwarves jokes I was getting sick of being in the same place. I think Kili could tell because he stood up and said, "Here I have an idea." He reached out his hand and I took it hesitantly with a smirk on my face.
Kili took me on a walk around Rivendell and it was absolutely beautiful. It wasn't until we stopped a balcony that I figured he was up to something. "The sky is so beautiful," I said leaning over the edge looking up. "I love the stars."
Kili joined me but I could tell he was looking at me. "Yea," he started. "Almost as beautiful as you." I looked down smiling and blushing madly. "Dess there's something I need to tell you." I looked up at him with an expecting smile that made his chuckle. "Welllll.... I guess I should have told you a little sooner but I didn't really know how." He looked at me somewhat nervously. "Iredessa," I was shocked at the use of my full name. "I think you are beautiful, caring, funny, and all around perfect." We were so close I could hear his heartbeat. I was looking up at him knowing I'm insanely red. He had a nervous smile upon his face as he tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. "And I really like you." Then the best thing that could have ever happened actually happened. He leaned in and our lips met. Out of shock I did not react but then I deepened it, wrapping my arms around his neck. It was passionate and perfect just like I imagined and I could not believe it was happening.
When we broke (from lack of air) I smiled breathlessly. Kili was looking down at me expectedly. "I really like you too," I said breathlessly.
He smirked at my reply before wrapping his arms around my waist. "That's what I was hoping you'd say."
Still smiling I responded, "Well although this is not what I expected from a walk around Rivendell, but you certainly do not disappoint." I wrapped my arms around his neck. I pushed myself up on my toes and pecked him one time. "And as much fun as its been we should head back."
He sighed but agreed nonetheless. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder as we walked back. When we got to the gazebo most of the dwarves were asleep. It looked like Thorin was still with Elrond. In fact I only saw Bofur and Fili awake and Bofur looked like he was drifting off. When Kili and I entered we got a death glare from Fili. And as much as I would like to pretend I didn't know what it was about I did. But I can't help it if he gets jealous. Kili was a man and had the courage to come to me before Fili.
Kili lead me to where his things were (which was next to Fili) and went to talk to Bofur for a minute. Fili turned to me, "Where were you two?" He snapped.
"On a walk," I said simply.
"And that's all you did?" He asked.
"Yesssssss, Fili. Why does it bother you if I am off with my friend and your brother." I snapped back.
"Well I but you but I I don't! I just wanted to know where you two went off too," he blushed which I can't deny was pretty cute.
I shrugged and began to make my bed. Fili helped but I ignored him. When Kili got back I was leaned against the fence and Fili had his back towards us. I sighed and Sat next to Kili. I looked down. He wrapped his arm around me and rubbed my shoulder comfortingly. "Don't worry," he whispered. "He'll come round." I nodded but I didn't believe it. To be honest I feel kind of bad. We lied down and I layed my head on his chest. He stroked my hair as I slowly drifted off. Then last thing I remember was Kili placing a gentle on my forehead.
