Des

I was being woken up by Bilbo gently shaking me. "C'mon wake up Dessie."

I shrugged him up and sat up, "Alright alright I'm getting up. Calm down."

He chuckled, "Well hurry up. Thorin wants to leave quickly."

I nodded as he left to the horses. I quickly gathered my stuff up and followed him. As everyone drowsily got on their ponies one by one. I slowly trumped to the back knowing that that's where Bilbo would be. Suddenly I felt two hands grand around my waist and I was lifted onto a pony.

"Hey, wanna ride with me?" Fili grinned.

"I don't think I have a choice now," I smiled then giggled

He laughed then got on. As soon as everyone was ready to leave, we did. Not five minutes out and it started to rain. Hard. Not just any rain but the kind that is ice cold and stings like hell. "Here," Fili said taking off his coat.

"T-thanks," I shivered and took his coat. It was really warm and the fur was a great insulator.

"Mr. Gandalf?" Dori asked. "Can't you do something about this deluge?"

"It is raining Master Dwarf," Gandalf started, "and it will continue to rain until the rain is done. If you wish to change the weather of the world you will find yourself another Wizard."

"Are there any?" Bilbo spoke up.

"What?" Gandalf asked.

"Other wizards."

"There are five of us. The greatest of our order is Saruman, the White. Then there are the two Blue Wizards; you know, I've quite forgotten their names."

"And the fifth?" Bilbo pressed.

"Well that would be Radagast the Brown."

"Is he a great Wizard or... is he more like you?" I mentally slapped him.

" I think he's a very great wizard, in his own way. He's a gentle soul who prefers the company of animals to others. He keeps a watchful eye over the vast forest lands to the East, and a good thing too, for always Evil will look to find a foothold in this world."

Bilbo nodded and slowed down so he was in the back with Fili and I. "Bilbo Baggins! You have terrible manners!" I snapped at him.

"What? What did I do?" He whimpered.

"You were extremely rude to Gandalf! Bilbo they may be different but everyone in the company deserves to be treated with respect and kindness!" I took the reigns from Fili ,who had been watching me with surprise and respect, and I rode to the front.

"Wow..." Fili mumbled.

"He was aggravating me," I stated simply, shrugging my shoulders.

He laughed, "Okay well on a happier note... how'd you sleep?"

I was shocked. I've never really been asked that by anyone, but my father... "I slept pretty well I guess. I mean for anyone sleeping in a rock." He laughed. "What about you?"

"Good. Great actually. I feel asleep and woke up in a great mood. And I guess I could say I still am in one except for this rain." He shivered lightly and I felt bad for stripping him of his coat.

I blushed and laughed, "Well apparently we need to find another Wizard to change the weather, but if they are like Gandalf that won't be happening. He seems quite stubborn."

Fili laughed back and wrapped his hands around my waist. "I didn't know you were that good at archery."

I raised an eyebrow even though I knew he couldn't see my face. "What? The last time I showed you was weeks ago."

"Yeah, but it still astonishes me."

"Well thank you.," I whispered.

"Of course," said resting his chin on my shoulder.
