Mocha Ray walked down the corridor hall of the Shimmering Crystal Temple. It was empty. Quiet. Once again. She marched further, till reaching great diamond doors. She stretched her arms to them then opened them wide. She walked outside, by the entrance of the temple.

She climbed down stairs. Just one or two more steps. So she would then be able to feel her hair floating by the water's presence. She contemplated the void a last time, before closing eyes. She yawned.

It has been for a month now that Sea Fairy left the depths. The Sacred Pearl didn't move the slightest, since these children intruded the temple. It remained bright and strong, like she used to know. Only one element was left for her to enjoy fully this landscape.

Where has Lobster been ? She has never seen him after he guided the mysterious people inside the temple... she looked down. Words vibrated in her mind, once more.

I'll take everyone who dares intruding the city with one single punch !

My claws are the strongest ever known !

"Enough...'' she whispered to these thoughts. "I said enough ! Let me and the city be !"

Hey, Mocha Ray !

Another one. She stumbled on her knees. Lobster...? Was that his voice ?

What are you doing here ? I'm off the City ! Please, come over, I need your help !

"H-He needs my help..."

She called out the Great Stingray. She rode its back, then swam away from the Temple. She looked at it a last time. She was close to regret her own doing, by simply leaving the temple free, open to any sorts of invasions. But at the same time, it was her mind that became invaded. Obsessed by the single thought of this Cookie she long sought news of. It was now time for her to finally look after him. She nodded frankly, now letting the Stingray guiding her around the depths.

"I feel like he is calling me... over here..."

After a wild guess, the Great Stingray laid before sand. The Cookie jumped down, then walked in front of her.

"Lobster ? Hey, Lobster ! It is me, Mocha Ray... where are you ?!"

She desperately called his name. She at each few steps she would make, she would attempt to scream out his name a last time. But all she heard was void. Void slowly wrapping itself around her. As she was feeling hopeless, she saw something shining from afar. She hurried to it. She feared it was what she thought it was. Do not tell me, it is what I expect ? Something I created with my own hands, specially for him ? A mark of our boundary ? Our true love...

Her steps slowed down to a halt when she arrived to the shining object. Exhausted, and shocked, she fell on her knees. She held on the shiny object. This was worse than she expected.

It was Lobster's crystal claw.

She held it close to her. She felt her breath becoming quivery. She shuddered, then sobbed. It was all too late. She was so busy looking after the Sacred Pearl... how could she be so negligent towards her loved one, the one she has been knowing for years, now...!

A grumble. She slowly rose her head. She looked behind. Her eyes widen.

Lit up by a lantern, two red eyes looked at her, their look piercing through her body. A jaw opened widely, exposing razor sharp teeth. An endless black was revealing itself. The eerie anglerfish. She now had an idea as to where Lobster was. It was all over now.

She closed her eyes. She accepted her fate. It's always too late for her, anyway.

This is the end she deserved.
