Again, one month late :/ But that Alrogue request slowed me down for sure.

Mint Choco woke up, dazed. He rubbed his head, as he stood up. He looked everywhere around him. He didn't reckon going in dried out, obscure lands... what exactly happened ?

It was another calm day in the Cookie World. He was practising violin when his whole world turned dark, and there he was now, in these unknown realms. He did remember hearing Dark Choco when he was close to pass out, though... Was he involved with it all ?

He looked around again, and found his violin lying on the floor. He sighed of relief, before he hurried to catch it. But as soon as he was about to stretch his arm to it, he felt a sudden wind blowing on his body. A harsh, cold wind. Then... an immense shadow covered his entire body. When he turned around to see the source, he tripped and fell backwards. He could feel his heart hammering in his own chest. It was... a peculiar feeling surrounding him, at that moment... he felt like it was a familiar figure, but he couldn't point a finger on the name. It was tall, dominating him with such posture and charisma that was its. It wore long, black capes, enveloping its enormous body, an engraved helmet, and it was holding a giant, dark sword, glowing with an eerie red light... it was fixating him with a piercing red eye... he could not move anymore... who were they, and what did they want ?!

"Violin... pretty..." the figure finally told him.

"Y-You... you like it ?" Mint Choco asked them, speaking for the first time. "I could... play you a little piece, if you want !"

He positioned himself shakingly, and started moving the instrument to life. The violinist was now playing a sweet symphony, with a strong mint aroma along it. The figure, however, barely listened for a few seconds, and they were already scowling and groaning in annoyance. They managed to remove their helmet, now revealing their face : it was no other than...

"D... Dark ?!"

The familiar face suddenly straightened, then jumped to a leave. Mint Choco did not even have the time to call them back, that they were already gone... it was even weirder. He didn't remember Dark Choco having a scarred eye like this. There was something wrong with him, definitely, and he needed to know what. On that, Mint Choco stood up and dusted off his clothing, before he picked his violin and hurried to the direction he took to depart.

Mint Choco then stopped to a halt, panting oh so hardly. He's been running for now a good twenty minutes, to no avail. It appeared now that he was lost, in these vast, desolated lands. He swiped some of the sweat on his forehead, and walked to the edge of the cliff facing him. He watched the view on more of these empty spaces, now revealing themselves to be some desert, if it wasn't for the cold temperature of the place. He rubbed his own arms while shivering, as he picked a glance at the immense rocky plains in front of him. He then heard a soft thumb. He looked on his right. It was the same Dark Choco-looking figure from before, now sitting down next to him. His short hair floated softly along the wind. He looked down. Neither of the men dared say a word, to disturb the silence between them. Neither did they want to look at each other. Although, Mint Choco was the first one to do a move. He turned his head on the side, then asked his boyfriend's counterpart :

"Your face reminds me of someone... have we met before ?"

"... No, there must be a mistake," the tall figure finally said. "I cannot be someone you met. We barely even saw each other today."

"Although... I am sure that you are no other than my beloved Dark Choco ! I even remember your first sentence... you said my violin was pretty."

"Because I did not want to sound rude or impolite to you."

"Was that true ? Even... when you left when you heard my music ?"

"I..."

"I didn't even ask for your consent back there, so... I'm going to ask you again : would you like to listen to some piece I made ?"

"... Yes..."

Mint Choco smiled softly at him. Then, he picked his violin and positioned himself, once more. The strings vibrated again to release the most peaceful sound they ever produced by far. It almost felt as if a nymph was sitting next to the dark warrior, with a face that would melt any heart around him, so much it was softened. The violinist swayed his arm back and forth all so calmly, yet the music he was playing felt like a raging hurricane. It was just enough for the tough caped man to feel his heart warm a little.

It somehow reminded him of something... more like someone... someone he would once love very much. Someone he would hold onto, dearly. As he would play, he glanced back at his sword. The more he glanced at it... the more he felt his head working on bringing back old memories. There was a white void, and him and the violinist were holding hands, and he would pick him up, in his embrace. It felt... warm, reassuring, comforting... loving...

But then, a flash of red light came in his imagination. Crumbles, strawberry jam, and now... he could see his own self, facing the frail boy. He was about to raise his sword to his beloved instrument boy... and a slash suddenly came into view.

"NO !"

He slammed it down the floor, jumping back on his feet. He breathed heavily. Meanwhile, Mint Choco softly stopped, and stood up, now facing him again, with the same smile that was fixated on his face like in a marble statue. Both men now looked at each other. The violinist then walked slowly to him.

"M-Mint...!" the warrior called him out.

"I knew it was you, silly," he addressed him tenderly. "Now, come here. Don't be afraid. I'm here, now."

"M-Mint... I'm scared..."

"It's okay, Dark. I'm here now."

Mint Choco wrapped his arms around him, rubbing on his back. Dark Choco, on his side, sobbed, resting his head on his shoulder.
