No applauses at all. Instead, the distinct sound of footsteps coming to invade the room. She was stopping at the perfect moment to them. She bowed down. She looked, from up the stage, as a cookie with long, magenta hair came closer. Now she recognized him, she bent down to him with a smug smile on her face.

''My little rose~ Good to see you again !'' she told him.

''Gh...! I have a name, just so you know !'' he growled at her.

''Oh my, look at you !'' she stepped closer to him, to admire his deep pink eyes. ''A warrior, looking as serious as you... it urges me... to dance with him~''

''Rose, I will not have time for that,'' he gently pushed her away from him. ''I need to tell you something, really important.''

''What would be more important than an invitation to dance, darling ?'''

''Just come and sit down,'' he grabbed her by the wrist and brought her to a chair nearby. She sat down. When he would do that, Rose knew this meant no good. Her once smugly smile soon faded by the gravity on his face.

''Say me more,'' she laid a hand on his shoulder. ''What is the emmergency ?''

''I am not sure you are ready to hear it.''

''Please, tell me, Raspy ! Don't try to drive me crazy !'' she held on his hand to implore him.

''You sure want to know...?'' she nodded. He took a deep breath. ''Very well. I will tell you : I will have to leave for a mission, in the western regions.''

''I-Is that all...? Was that all you wanted to warn me from-?'''

''The pointy detail being : I am not sure how long it will be, and most of all... I am not sure if I will make it out alive,'' to that word, Rose flinched.

''B-But... that's gonna be like at practise, right ? Like you're so used to tell me ? This is going to be okay, please tell me it will !'' she held his shoulders, now fixating him with grief. Raspberry Mousse sighed, holding on her hands.

''I'm afraid to say that I will not know, until I come here,'' he made her let go. He started to walk in circles. ''I made all my best to prevent this moment, though. To have a chance to see you again, at least once. I dearly tried to dispense myself from it. Yet... the Raspberry House was clear on it : every soldiers are awaited on the battlefield.''

''A-And when would you go...?'' she asked him, following his pattern with her single eyes.

''I still have a few days left before departure. By then, we would be able to see each other again. Do not worry, ma bien-aimée, I will try not to be too long.''

''I-I mean... it's not like you had no other choices,'' she stood up as she saw him about to leave the room, rushing to him so she would be able to hug him from behind. ''But... please. Promise me to be careful when out here. I don't want to lose you...'' she laid her head against his back, tensing herself up as she was about to sob. Raspberry Mousse, feeling her, turned around and placed hands on her face, to lift it up.

''Do not fear it. I am one of the best swordsmen of all house, after all. I will know how to defend myself,'' he wiped out her tears. ''Do not cry, petite fleur, I would not like you to falter before my departure...''

''R-Raspberry... promise me you will be okay.''

''I will.''

He kissed on her forehead, endearingly. On that note, he took back his attire and prepared himself to leave the room. Rose implored him again, trying to prevent him from any move. But alas. The deed was already done. He made her free from her grasp and left, leaving behind a beloved rose that laid on the floor, mourning the day her sunshine would leave her.

And the days soon passed. The tango dancer we know still performed, besides the pain growing harsher and harsher in her chest. As one flower was only blooming ever so brightly, another one, at the distance, faltered on the dirty soil.
