Melissa didn't think Liam deserved to have his friends over after what'd happened at school, but seeing the amount of school work he'd done, plus the extra tuition work from Lydia, she thought he could do with a break and seeing some fresh faces.

Scott had called every single day to check up on how Liam was coping with house arrest and if the teacher was going to do anything else extreme, thankfully she wasn't but that didn't make it any easier for any of them, Liam had - had violent outbursts before but this was completely out of line.

Hayden and Mason sat on his bed staring at the black anklet around his right ankle that'd been put on by police and would eventually come off in three months, with a pillow in her lap Hayden lent forward and mumbled, "you're such a dumb-ass Dunbar, I'm sorry we didn't try to stop you sooner" Mason laughed quietly over Hayden's little sentence, all week she'd been feeling guilty but knew she wasn't the one that deserved the sympathy, "if it makes you feel any better about this whole thing, Coach told us he was securely having your spot held so nobody can take it from you."

"Nolan offered to take it over for the time being so nobody could try and fit in to it, but Coach wasn't having it" Mason explained with a comforting smile, "and Gabe said he wished he could've seen it, never imagined you'd beat up a teacher."

Liam groaned tiredly, he didn't want to keep listening about what he'd done, let alone have it rubbed in his face or have people impressed with him, pulling his duvet over his face he tried to hide away from the world, and his two closest friends.

"What ever happened to Jessica?" He finally asked changing the subject, it's something he'd always wondered about because since that day nobody had spoken about what happened to his old friend.

"We don't know" said Hayden hugging the pillow, "apparently her parents transferred her to a different school in California, but we don't know for sure, haven't you asked Melissa?"

Liam shook his head from under the covers, rolling his eyes Mason pulled the duvet off the boys head so they could see his face and actually have him in the conversation, his blond hair was ruffled, "Melissa likes keeping me out of the know, she won't tell me even if I begged her" he explained whilst Hayden flattened his hair, making him look more respectable, not that he'd been going to see anyone, "I've missed you guys."

Wrapping her arms around his torso and resting her head on his shoulder Hayden says, "we've missed you to Li, school isn't the same. If I could I'd beat the hell out of Theo and explain what he's missing out on" her words were meant to be comforting but they did the exact opposite, his chest fell like all the oxygen had been pushed out of his lungs, Theo hadn't crossed his mind since Lydia last came over to tutor him.

"Hayden" Mason warned with stern eyes, "I told you not to bring him up, remember?"

"Oh shit, Li I'm so sorry, I completely forgot."

He shrugged, not really caring anymore about the past, "accidents happen. I'm in the mood for Chinese food, anyone else want Chinese food?

Both Hayden and Mason agreed they were hungry and that Chinese takeout sounded like a good idea, because Liam couldn't leave the house Hayden offered to drive out and buy some whilst Mason and Liam had some boy time; because it was dark Mason offered to go instead saying it would be safer, of course Hayden ignored him and went anyway.

With Hayden gone Liam finally breathed a deep sigh and looked at Mason with big puppy eyes, "I don't know what I did wrong, he hasn't messaged me at all, pretty sure I'm blocked actually because I can't access his Instagram account but that doesn't bother me much. I just wish he told me directly whether it was something I'd done, or maybe he just wasn't ready for a relationship yanno?"

Mason moved closer to Liam and wrapped his arms around him for comfort, not many people knew this but Liam was someone who loved physical affection in any form and that was why he often went to Mason when he was sad because he understood the boys needs, "maybe he needed time to think, you've never been great at giving people signs Li, especially when it came to relationships, or maybe he didn't think you actually wanted a relationship with him and he thought it was better to break things off then - then to get too invested into someone."

"I was given advice by somebody that I should fight for him, I can't remember who it was though, but I thought if I fought for him it would show that I was weak so I blocked out any sort of emotion I felt towards him, at times it feels like I imagined it - him and I and other times I feel nothing, like nothing bad had ever happened. If I'm honest it feels like I forced something that wasn't there."
