At Beacon Hills Police Station
Facing the consequences of your own actions is always the most difficult part, because that's when reality sets in and you realise just how much of a mess you've made, of course Jessica knew that she could put on a show, start the waterworks and admit to being manipulated by this ruthless woman and not saying anything because she was scared, fear makes you do stupid things, or so she heard. Yet the truth stares her straight in the face, Jessica was jealous of Liam, key word 'was' for almost five years she supported Theo from behind a phone screen, attended his concerts and brought his merchandise, however some boy who knew nothing of his existence was able to befriend him, and she was jealous.
"I found her number on Facebook underneath the name Ariel, I recognised the face straight away," nervously she pucks at the skin around her thumbnail until it starts bleeding, "at the time I was jealous and angry I didn't mean for it to escalate, not to this level."
Parrish sits across from her with his hands resting against the table, he offered to contact her parents earlier on as she's legally classed as a child, but she admitted she committed the crime without her parents, she can face the consequences on her own to. "Did it ever cross your mind that maybe you went to far, and that it's not to late to tell someone?"
"What she did . . . what we did to Liam is unforgivable, I'll be the first to admit it but while we were doing it - it didn't feel like we were crossing a line, I've been told so many different stories about her and when I met her she wasn't anything like I expected, I saw no proof of the monster she had been made out as," they'd both beaten Liam to a pulp but Jessica knew that the real Rachel is cunning and although the attacks were violent they were just a small drop of water compared to the large tsunami headed his way, she knew what Liams future entailes and instead of doing something to help, Jessica watched and laughed because at the time it's what he deserved. "I can tell you were he is, I can tell you anything you want, just make sure that bitch dies."
The quick change in attitude concerns Parrish but he doesn't show it, his calm steady demeanour never even falters if it did then it'll show Jessica that she's messed up, considerably. Pushing his notepad forward along with his pen, Parrish nods for her to start writing down where he is, the sooner they find him the better, "you mentioned you wanted her to die, why's that?"
"Isn't it obvious? She's going to kill him."
At Liam's Old House
All this time he's been locked away in his old bedroom, full of the indentations from when things had been thrown into the wall by his bed, tearing up his posters and tearing chunks of plaster and paint out the wall, the carpet although now covered in mould and slowly getting eaten away at by bugs, Liam can still see the dark brown stains where he's bled heavily on the carpet after one violent beating resulting in ten stitches and a social services check, which somehow deamed Rachel fit to continue parenting him, all this time and he never even realised he's back in the room where it all started.
"You're hurt, let mother help you," Rachel says sweetly as she walks towards him, noticing the mess on his arm, "oh Li what have you done."
Struggling to keep his eyes open long enough to see what she's doing, Liam claws at the carpet trying to drag himself away from the wicked woman that's also known as his mum, chunks of carpet cling onto the open woulds as his arms glide over the damp smelling floor no doubt infecting them with whatever has been living on there since he left, "just leave me alone, don't you think you've done enough."
