Having delayed telling Melissa the truth about Mr Yandal for almost a week, Liam finally gets the courage to tell her everthing, although he knows it's going to make her unbareably over protective and difficult to live with for the next few years or so, he even messages Theo and Mason asking for advice on how to break the news, but only Mason respondes to him, it appears that Theo's gone offline, loitering in the bathroom with his head in his hands and the shower running, Liam knows that he should've seen it coming, what he can't imagine Theo doing is abadoning his fans, when they're the ones who helped build his career to where it is today.
Wiping the condensation off the mirror, Liam stares at his reflextion, his eyes were glazed over from crying, his cheeks and nose were bright red, and his eyes blood shot with purplish bags underneath, with the weight of telling Melissa the truth on his mind, Liam's been unable to properly sleep and it's starting to show, dabbing at the water running down his face, Liam searches the cupboards for Melissa's makeup bag, he's been covering the purple marks with concealer, so far it's been working but with his complexsion paling, Liam wonders whether people will see through the mask.
Dabbing the creamy liquid on under his eyes, Liam blinks rapidly when he accidentally gets it in his eye, "God that burns, is this even safe to go around your eyes?" Running the tap, Liam washes his eye out with cold water, although keeping it open upon contact with the liquids difficult, "well that was a waste of time."
"Liam honey, are you okay in there, you've been awfully long," there's a long uncomfortable pause, and then. "Your not constipated again, are you?"
Throwing open the door, Liam catches it before the hinges snap off, with his mind empty of any thoughts, he decides it's now or never to tell her the truth, dragging his tongue against his chapped lower lip, Liam sighs, "well Melissa, there's a conversation we need to have."
"You're gay, aren't you. Listen Liam I don't think any less of you, actually I think I've always kind've known-"
"I'm not gay," Liam cuts in awkwardly, scratching the back of his neck - which is a nervous habit of his - he carefully considers how to phrase his next sentence, this moment is going to be the part that'll effect his life forever, it has to go correctly. "Do you remember that morning when I told you I was still failing maths, and that I didn't like Mr Yandal's techniques either?"
Holding onto the doorframe, Melissa nods slowly, a sinking feeling grows in the pit of her stomach, but she tries to ignore it. "I remember, why do you ask?"
Tears prick at Liam's eyes and his body starts trembling, "because he...he was raping me, I'm so sorry," cries Liam, falling into Melissa's embrace, Liam cried loudly now that he's finally been able to tell her the truth, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I told him to stop," gripping onto the fabric of Melissa's cardigan, his tear filled apologises turn into nothing more then muffled nonsense.
He sits in the sheriffs station surrounded by screwed up tissues, wiping furiously at the tears that roll down his cheeks, and drinp onto his jeans, Liam stares at the pieces of paper across from him, ten double sided sheets of A4 tell the story of his ordeal and even then, Liam believes he's missing out details. "I - I think that's everything."
"Are you sure son, I don't want you to think that you have to hide anything, we're here to help you," smiles Noah from across the desk. "He can't get to you, okay."
Looking at Noah with lifeless eyes, Liam nods slowly, he feels numb from crying and numb from the expression plastered on Melissa's face, whenever he glances at her, all he see's is anger and confusion; no doubt wondering why he hadn't told her sooner.
"Do you know if-"
"I don't think now's the time," Noah cuts off quickly, upon hearing what Melissa was going to say, "I understand your concerns, but right now we have this to take care of. Parrish said that at the scene, a young man named Corey Bryant stayed with Liam when he was talking to the police, and mentioned that Liam said Yandal originally came for his new tutor, which I believe is Lydia Martin?"
