"Mi- y/n." I felt someone push my sleeping form.

"Ughhh." I groaned, pulling the blanket over my head.

"Y/n, it's breakfast."

"Go on without me," I mumbled.

"You have to wake up."

I sighed, "Fine, but only because I'm meant to be a role model, whatever that means."

I heard a few giggles and I rose out of bed, my eyes adjusting to the brightness.

"How long have I got?"

"5 minutes."

Shit.

I jump out of bed and grab a top and some running shorts from my bag and sprint into the bathroom, changing as fast as humanly possible.

In my best All Might impression, I re-entered the dorm and announced: "I am here." Only to be greeted by an empty room.

Shit.

I sprint out of the dorms and see Class 1-A standing in a semi-circle in front of Shota.

"Good morning." I greeted the set's tired eyes, mid-yawn.

"You're late." Shota scolds me.

"Fashionably."

"And somehow even later than me."

"Surprise." I say accompanied by a rather lacklustre pair of jazz hands, "what time even is it?"

"5:30."

"You're a terrible person Scarfy."

"Training is important."

He then turned back to the students, informing them of the activities that will ensue throughout the day, much to the dismay of the kids, "The purpose of this training camp is to strengthen your quirks, which will then allow you to get your temporary licences."

The mention of a temporary license made them perk up, hopeful at the idea that they were that much closer to becoming a hero.

The training began with a ball throw. I stood to one side, freezing time to make sure they kept good form. Every now and then, I would give advice to a student, telling them where to connect their feet to the ground and that their stance should be slightly wider -general tips that I thought might help.

I've never done anything like this before so the idea of people listening to me and actually taking my advice was a foreign concept, but the students were building on my criticisms and that made me grow gradually more confident.

There was always a rivalry between my school and UA, although we weren't special, every hero school had competition with the prestigious UA. What you didn't realise was that we were only children when we started training our quirks. There was no need for rivalry when we were all going through the same thing. We all wanted to be heroes, and we all put ourselves through the wringer to get there.

So the initial intimidation I felt towards UA gradually faded as I worked harder and harder with each student, trying to help them enhance both their quirk and agility in combat. Each hero-in-training was so determined to push themselves that they don't notice Class 1-B finally arriving at the camp until the hero Tiger initiates in combat with Midoriya who is easily dodged by the Pro.

Working with the students proved to be a workout for me too as I had to keep up with each of their own unique quirks. I was impressed, to say the least. Each kid had an air of determination about them, they want to beat me in sparring becoming a need although only a few got close.
