I lazily went to unlock my front door- quickly realising that it was already open.

What the fuck? I thought to myself in a slight panic.

Pulling a small flip-knife from my belt I activated my quirk, quickly running into my apartment to see who was in there.

The figure was in the kitchen cupboards reaching for something at the top. Quickly getting behind them I placed the knife to their back and deactivated my quirk.

"Who the hell are you?" I growled.

The figure jumped and -in a split second- melted into a puddle on the floor.

"Shit! Yuri!" I gasped as I hastily put my knife away. "I am so sorry! I forgot you were coming over."

The puddle materialised back into my blue-haired best friend who had a wide, if not slightly disturbed, smile on her face. "No worries, glad to know you've still got your edge." The girl laughed triggering me to burst into laughter too.

"You've really... got to remember... to lock the door... behind... you." I managed to get out between wheezes.

"Oh god sorry." She ran over to the still-open door and shut it with a click.

"I nearly kebabed you, idiot." I chuckled.

I looked at my best friend as she walked back over to the kitchen, "Sooo." I looked at her pointedly, remembering the reason she was in my house in the first place.

"What? Oh right, yeah." The smile on her face quickly disappeared and I saw tears begin to form in her big blue eyes. "Sawako cheated on me."

I looked at her in shock. "That ass!"

She threw her arms around me and started to sob into my shoulder. I hugged her in return and walked her over to the sofa. She sat down and I went back into the kitchen, grabbing a tub of (favourite ice-cream flavour) ice cream and the biggest spoon I could find.

Yuri gave me a weak smile as thanks, taking the ice cream.

"Do you want me to go over there and teach him a lesson?" I asked with complete sincerity.

She sighed, "no. He's not worth it." I watched her face contort in disgust as she took a bite of the ice cream I had given her. "(Favourite ice-cream flavour)! What's wrong with you psychopath!" She spat it out back into the tub.

"Okay, 1. That's disgusting, you owe me a new tub and 2. What's wrong with (favourite ice-cream flavour)? I'll have you know it's a best seller at the café!"

"Your customers are terrible people."

"Hey, woah, calm down! Don't attack my customers like that."

Yuri giggled, placing the ice cream down on the side table, but the sad expression still returned to her face.

I wrapped my arms around her in a tight embrace, "I know this sounds cliché, but you're too good for him. He was a dick, I tried to tell you I didn't trust him."

"Don't make this an 'I told you so' thing." She mumbled.

"Sorry, sorry." I pulled away looking at her directly in the eyes, "why don't we go to the café early today? I'll get you whatever you want, on the house." I smiled.

She sniffed and nodded, "Honey toast?" She queried.

"Of course." I chuckled. "Let me just get changed." Gesturing to my hero costume.

She nodded and began to flick through the TV channels as I had done only a few hours ago.

I walked into my room and got changed into some light clothes for the day, thinking back to my encounter with this so-called Eraserhead. What was the guy's problem? Maybe it was because I took down handsy before he could? But I was there before him, he must've seen me I wasn't really trying to hide from anyone but the jewellery thief.
