I was awoken by the sound of Easten's humble voice. I didn't realize I've fallen asleep until now. The last I remember was the flashing of the street lights. The sound of the smooth street. And the rain that started to sprinkle.

Now, it was pouring. Easten had the windshield wipers on as we were at a stop. I looked out the window only to see an unfamiliar street.

"Is this where you wanted to be?" He asks confusingly. I nod my head in reassurance as I see the street name Waverly. "I'm guessing you don't want me to know where exactly you're going?"

My eyes leave the window catching his. "Yes. Something like that," I reply quietly. My attention turns back to the window watching the rain fall upon it. "I'll see you...." I pause not knowing if I'll ever see him again. "...I'll see you when I see you," I finish off. Because even though whatever me and Damon had may be over, the war between my 'brother' and Damon will certainly not be over.

I then rest my hand upon the door handle readying myself to open the door. Before bringing myself to fully, but intentionally open the door, Easten stops me. "Wait, I've got an umbrella." He says, shortly before he jumps out the car speed walking around to my side.

He opens it as rain drip from his head to toe. "Thank you," I say for his nice gesture.

I grab my bag and bring myself out of the car, a few drops of rain hit my face, but I don't pay it any mind. Easten shuts the door behind me as he holds the umbrella above me. "So, when exactly will I be seeing you again, Ms.Marie?" A question I didn't know drops before me along with the cold rain so heavily pounding against the black umbrella.

I look at his dark brown eyes only to see a want. A want of me to answer his question— and it being answered correctly. "When the time is right, You'll be one of the first I'll look to see."

He nods his head ever so lightly that with the previous rain drops on my face, I found it hard to see. I shortly grab the umbrella from his hands. But instead of walking way, he looks at me for a while longer.

I give him a reassuring smile. "If you're worrying about me, don't. I'll be fine."

"I know you will," He says softly. "I just know what your absence would do to the rest of us."

I smile knowing that I haven't known him or everyone else for very long, yet I slowly seen them as family, they they did as well. But the thought of my absence being an issue marked my heart— in a way that I didn't think it could.

He brings me into a comforting hug— I return the favor.

Once we come apart, I look him into his dark brown eyes once again. "I'll miss you," I say calmly.

"I'll miss you to Ms.Marie," It was professional yet it was a bit comforting.

I bit my lip trying to stop that part of me that wants to tell him what I'm doing here. Why I'm a street away from my fathers home.

He frowns with confusion. "I'd hate to intrude, but I'd like to think you want to speak on something."

I grip on the umbrella handle tightly as I stare at the area of concrete that was once wet— now transitioning to a dry area.

"There are many things you don't know about me that I would love to tell you someday," I reply avoiding his statement.

He nods his head. "Well, once you gain that trust to talk to me about it, will you do?"

"I will," I reply.

"Please stay safe," He says in a slight demanding way. "Your health will always be something that I worry about."
