Two weeks later— PresentDamon King
"What the fuck are you doing?" I yell at a man who carelessly knocked over a box. "I walk in here to you fucking my shit up?"
He shakes his head. "No boss."
I let out a laugh, because he's mistaken me for being stupid. "Come," I gesture him over. He looks down at the floor, "I said come," I demand him.
He walks to me like a sad puppy. Once he gets in front of me, I bring his head up with my thumb. "You think I'm stupid?"
He shakes his head. "No b-boss I- I—," He stutters. He fucking stutters.
"Did you know that stuttering is a sign when someone is lying," I say taking my gun out my back pocket and putting it up to his chin. He shakes under my touch, "You see, liars have a hard time coming up with coherent answers that their lies end up as contradictions."
I cock the gun back then begin digging it into his chin. "So... are you lying to me?"
"No...boss. I just accidentally dropped it," He says as fear rose in his voice.
"What if this bullet accidentally goes through you skull?" I ask putting the gun up to his forehead. "Wouldn't that be a shame?"
"Yes b—boss," He stutters.
I smile as he shivers under my touch. Maybe my stress has caused me to be more hard on my men. Maybe talking about my dad has—
Never fücking mind that.
Fuck my dad.
"Damon put the gun down," The sound of Starr's voice startles me.
Biting my lips knowing I'm in trouble, I stand there for a few more seconds. Leaving the guy to still shake under my touch.
I look over my shoulder to see her standing with her arms across her chest. I drop the gun and roll my eyes.
"Jacob, it's okay. Go back to doing your job and don't do anything or next time I won't be able to save you," She says to him. I nod my head in his direction telling him to get the fuck away from me.
He walks away in a fast pace. "You've gotten lucky Jakey," I yell across the room.
Starr walks around and stands in front of me, with a fierce look in her eyes. "What are you doing?"
I frown. "He was fucking with my—," She cuts me off.
"I mean—," She pauses. "What are you doing?"
I roll my eyes. "I don't fucking know."
"Well I do," She points at me. "I know that you are trying to find your father, but you need to chill out. I understand that he is someone who've hurt you, but killing all your men won't help you."
"I wasn't killing all my men," I protest.
Honestly, I fücking wasn't. Everyone is being fucking dumb and stupid. No one is acting like they want to fücking be here so I'm fulfilling their wish.
"Yes you were, and when you do... who's going to help you? Will there even be a mafia left?" She questions me. "Don't you remember saying the first day we met, 'I have the biggest mafia in the world."
"I don't need anyone," I say frustratedly under my breath. Though I instantly regret what I said.
"No one huh?" She questions me before she turns around walking towards the door, in anger.
