Unknown Narrative

~7 hours later—Future~

"No. No. NOO. Please wake up," I yell looking at the body of one I didn't expect to be present.

"I'm sorry but we have to go," A familiar voice yells. "We have to go before the police get here. And before the others get here."

Feeling a comforting touch on my shoulder. "But... I thought.." My mind runs wild with crazy thoughts. Thoughts about the exciting future we could of had. Thoughts about what is lost in the dark night around us.

"No," I yelled. "I won't go until unless you bring the both of us. Even if my someone is..." I stutter on my last words trying to find the right way to let my thoughts out without collapsing in one.

If my someone is dead.

Dead.

Crazy how someone you thought could live within you for eternity is possibly dead in your vision.

Dead.

I shutter gently swiping my hand across the forehead of someone I cared about. Then I look at the familiar person that has spoken to me. "We both go or not at all."

Before the familiar had a chance to respond, another familiar ran up. "Take both of them. We need them both alive and well."

A tear rolls down my face.

Probably for the act of happiness but also for the reason of me not feeling alone anymore.

I wasn't alone.

We weren't alone.

~Present time~

Hours, minutes, seconds.

Time.

Everyone has been working hard because in time, this could be a suicide mission or an award ceremony. One person gets the bad while the other gets the good.

I just hope I don't get the wrong end of the stick.

"We need everything packed up and ready so tonight, so we could be ready accordingly," I call out to my members who again, stands in front of me, while my underbosses stand to my side.

I received head nods and 'yes boss' from all over the room. I continue. "This needs to be done before hand. Before midnight. No fuck ups," I demand. "Now. I'd suggest you get to work so you have time for your families," They all nod and return to their jobs as I turn to see my underbosses standing behind me.

Seems like deja vu.

They look at me waiting for an answer. "You guys can have the day off until 2230. You've worked hard enough and have problems of your own," I say honestly.

I appreciate all my underbosses have done in such a short time period. With the stress I've been carrying as a leader, they have made it easy to work, and I have got done more than I intended I would.

"Are you sure boss?" Lee calls out.

I roll my eyes annoyed. "Go before I change my mind." He returns Orlando and Chris a look.

I comment. "And don't call me boss. I'm Damon for the next few hours."

"Hell yeah," Orlando shouts. "I can finally tell you how shit you are at COD. Like why play a game that you suck at? Just save the embarrassment."
