I jump from the sound of the deep-husky unexpected voice. It was one that I wasn't familiar of.
"Who are you?" I say taking a step back.
I am not one of those girls in the scary movies that runs towards danger. I only do if I have to, and in this case, it's not needed.
The guy let's off a little laugh, stepping into the light that was beaming through the window. Even thought light was on him, his face was stiff guarded with a darkness.
"You're leaving already?" The guy says taking a few steps towards me.
I shake my head. "Ummm. I didn't realize you would be someone I wanted see," I look at the guy who stands there. "I think it's my cue to go. I don't exactly know who you are," I say trying to leave.
But, I was trying.
He took a large step towards me. "You don't get to leave after what you did!" He says with a angry tone, soon grabbing ahold of my arm.
I finally see the face of him, yet I don't think I recognize him. He had dark brown eyes, a cut on his cheek and hair that was similar to Damon's.
"Dude. Chill out!" Obviously these secrets that have been coming out has been overwhelming for me. It just seems as though he has more he wants to bring into the light. "If you going to talk to me, do it as if we were two people. Because right now I feel the urge to want to break your wrist for fucking touching me like that."
He lets go then grunts, "Why did you do it?"
What?
"What do you mean? I don't even know you!" This whole encounter has me coming to a point where I just want to leave the room.
He pushes his hair back, "You hurt her."
"I'm sorry to break it to you but I think your hallucinating or some shit because I don't know you or her... what the hell! I barely even know my dad," I explain to the broken guy in front of me.
He stands there still with slight darkness upon him. I don't know who he is or the position he has here but I sure am confused.
"What's your name?" I ask trying to see if I know him or not.
He rubs his forehead as if he was struggling to think. I seen the sweat glisten is the light and his body was as stiff as it could be.
"Alik Torez," I frown at the name. His last name seemed so familiar yet I couldn't remember it. "You hurt her. Why?"
Then all of a sudden I remember.
The waiter. The bathroom. The fight. The shoe in the eye. The passing out. The ID.
Angelina Torez.
I roll my eyes once I remember. "She tried to hurt me so I defended myself."
He takes a step forward but not to close. "You call that defending yourself? You hurt her."
"One, she came at me for a reason I failed to know, and two I had to protect myself. How the fight ended was not intentional."
He again runs his hands through his hair. "Bull shit. You put her in the fucking hospital. She lost her fucking eye and had a damn concussion."
I started to feel for him but not for her, because I don't know who she was to him. He seemed as if he generally cared about her. "Look," I say grabbing his attention. "I am sorry that you feel this way and if there was anything I could do to help you feel better, I would do. But, I would not in my right mind let some girlfriend of yours try to kill me in a women's public bathroom."
He scolded at my comment. "She was not going to kill you."
"She works for Antonio. All they want to do is kill me, and her acting as a waiter was the perfect despise," I take a step back wanting to leave as he towers over me. "And if you are really struggling over this situation, maybe you should keep your girlfriend in check."
"She's not my girlfriend," He yells. I felt myself shrink at the fright of his overpowering dark voice. "She's is— was my sister." He looks at the ground.
I frown at the change of 'is' to 'was'. "I have no idea what your going through, but I do know is that I have a target on my back right now and you and your sister is not making it easier," I pause as he looks at me— and I felt as though he was truly broken. "I'm truly sorry for what I did on your side but you sister did that to herself. This was not a—,"
"She wouldn't hurt the bosses daughter, she appreciated your dad so much. She would have told someone."
"Maybe you both should talk," I suggest.
He tilts his head in the slightest way, "How do you know we don't talk?" I felt his darkness shift back into his emotions.
He take another step back, bringing my back against the door. "I didn't really know but you just confirmed it. And you said she was your sister as if you don't claim her or she doesn't claim you," I try to explain in the nicest way possible. "Are you okay?"
This guy could be a ticking bomb.
"After she found out what I did.." He pauses gaining the courage to continue. "She left me. Alone and all I could do was watch her from afar. But then she stumbled into this lifestyle, and now it seems as through she's being sucked into this dangerous life so fast. All I want is for her to be okay," He says as his voice quivers quietly.
I wanted to know more. But for some reason he seems as one of those people to burst of they're being pushed to hard. So I change the direction conversation. "Im sorry for what you've been through."
"Don't pity me," He points in my face as he yells.
I roll my eyes because I attempted to comfort him into and he gets all defensive. "That's not what I was doing. But since you're back to your old ways, I would gladly appreciate it if I could leave this room peacefully," His head drops low and takes two steps back.
I turn and opens the door, but I stopped to give him a few tips. "Your failed relationship with your sister is crushing you. The only one who could make you happy is yourself, so you should either rekindle your relationship or let it go," He stand in the dark with no movement.
I felt as it was my time to leave, so I shut the door and walk to the next room.
