(Aurora's POV) (I've always loved this name!)

"Home sweet home." Mom smiled as we got out of the car.

Dad and Daniel, my brother, pulled in with the moving truck behind us.

"Still look the same?" Mom asked.

I shrugged. "I guess."

"Cheer up, Rory." Daniel said using the nickname that got on my nerves.

I just rolled my eyes.

"Alright, let's get started!" Dad yelled, opening the back of the truck.

Two hours later, the truck was unpacked and dad was on his way to return it to a local rental place. This left the three of us to start unpacking inside the house. That number was reduced to two when Daniel left to meet up with some old friends.

"You planning on seeing any old friends today?" Mom asked as we unpacked in the kitchen.

She was talking about him.

I had no other friends. I wasn't the friend making type of person. I wasn't good at it anyway.

"No, I'm just going to unpack. I may go to see if the cafe is still there."

She nodded and didn't press any further.

I finished with unpacking three hours later and headed for the cafe. It was a little reading cafe that I started going to when I learned how to read. It was owned by a man named Archie.

I walked in and found only a few people there, Archie being one of them.

"Archie, good to see you." I smiled.

He was older now. His hair was still dark when I last him, but now it was all grey.

He stared at me for a second before it clicked.

"Little Briar?" He asked grinning.

The first book I read here was Sleeping Beauty, so he started calling Briar. It was a nickname I loved.

He came around the counter and pulled me in for a hug.

"So good to see you, Little Briar. Thought I'd never see you again."

I smiled. "Couldn't leave my favorite man waiting for me forever."

"What brings you back?"

"Dad lost his job and we had to sell the house."

"You move back into your old one?"

"Yeah. Grandma bought it when we put it on the market cause she's crazy and is letting us live there. Once dad gets another job, she'll sell it back to us."

"That's good."

"I suppose. Tell me how you have been."

"Pretty good. Nothing has changed much. This place is still the same."

I looked around and smiled. It was the same and I loved it. It had always been like a second home to me. You could grab a book, order a coffee and muffin, take a seat, and read all day. Archie lived in the apartment above it and would let me go up there to read if it ever got to crowded.

"You know," Archie started as I turned to look at him. "he still comes here. You see or speak to him?"

"Um no. We....lost touch."

"Well I'm sure he'd love to know that you're back. I can tell him when he comes in tomorrow."

"Does he come everyday?"
