(Asa's POV)

"I'll see you later." I waved to Archie as I left.

It didn't take me long to get....home. The parking lot was full as usual when I arrived. I parked my car in my spot and climbed out.

"Asa, my man!" A loud voice called as a hand landed on my shoulder.

"Grizzly." I said in acknowledgment.

He leaned against my car as I reach in for my bag.

"How was your day?" He asked.

"Fine. You?"

"Unproductive. They've been in meetings all day." He sighed, pointing towards the clubhouse. "About six of the prospects either get voted in as full members or get voted out. Plus there are some.....decisions that have to be made."

"You over here spilling secrets?" Taz asked, walking over.

Grizzly rolled his eyes. "Not really spilling secrets if he's one of us."

"He ain't one of us. Never has been. Never will be."

Taz has never liked me. He doesn't believe I should be allowed inside the clubhouse or even on the property.

Why?

When my father because President, I was asked in front of everyone if I wanted to be patched in. They weren't going to make me go through the prospect phase. They would've voted me in as a patched member. I said no. That is my father's life, it's not mine.

Because my father is the Prez and what he says goes, I was still allowed it to live amongst everyone else here. My father allows me inside during meetings, gatherings, and everything else. It's like I'm a patched member with a seat at the big boy table without actually being patched in.

Some of the guys absolutely hate it. They don't think it should be allowed and have even tried getting the board to vote on banning me. However, no one ever wins against my father.

I could honestly care less.

My father has never pushed me....directly anyway. He had a small place built for me across from the clubhouse above the shop. He wanted to give me a space away from everything and everyone. He also did it because he thought it'd somewhat satisfy those against me.

It didn't. They still wanted me out. They're afraid I'll hear something I shouldn't and run off to tell the cops or rivals.

Like I said, I could care less.

"Don't listen to him, Asa." Grizzly said. "He's just upset cause he hasn't been laid in forever."

"I wonder why." I muttered as I walked past Taz.

I walked up the stairs to my door and unlocked it. I was about to go in when my name was called again.

This time it was my father. He jogged across the lot and up the stairs as I pushed my door open.

"Haven't spoken in a few days." He said, shutting the door behind him.

"You've been busy." I said, laying my bag on the dining table.

My place was a studio apartment. It wasn't a very big place, but it was mine and I loved it.

"I wanted to speak to you about something."
