(Aurora's POV)
"Are you excited for this?"
"I'm not a big sports fan honestly."
"Don't think of it as sports. Think of it as a bunch of hot guys in uniform running around for our enjoyment."
Elli and I both looked at Maya in question.
"What? They are guys in a uniform who are running around for our enjoyment."
Ellie and I both laughed.
"Are your parents here?" Ellie asked looking around as we sat down on the first row.
"Her brother is here with mine." Maya answered for me.
"My parents aren't big sports people either, but my brother loves football." I explained.
I wasn't going to come to the game, but they sort of dragged me. I was going to spend the evening at Archie's reading.
"Hey!" We heard in front of us.
We looked to see Lucas coming towards us on the field. The team had been warming up.
"Happy to see you came." He smiled, leaning against the fence.
"Wouldn't miss it." Ellie smiled.
"We always go out to eat afterwards, want to come?" He asked that question while looking right at me.
"We'd love to." Maya said.
"Great."
He ran back to the team and Maya and Ellie both started gushing about going to eat with the team. I just looked around at who all was there. I was looking for people I might recognize.
Didn't recognize anyone until I heard a faint sound of thunder. A minute or two later, Jameson and a lot of other men dressed in leather cuts came through the gate with tickets in hand.
"They always come to games?" I asked.
Maya and Ellie looked over and slightly gasped.
"They show up sometimes. They always stand/sit in the small area a few feet from the bleachers and keep to themselves. Everyone is terrified of them, so they don't speak to anyone."
I nodded.
I watched as they got a lot of food like nachos and hotdogs before making their way to the area by the bleachers we were sitting on. I then started looking for Asa.
He's missed the last four days of school and I was worried about him. I was worried because people noticed his absence and Maya said he's never missed one day of school since freshman year. I tried calling him, but he didn't answer.
"Do people go up and talk to them?" I asked Maya.
"The MC? F*ck no. Like I said, most people are terrified of them."
"Great. Excuse me for one moment." I said, getting up from my seat.
"Where are you going?" Ellie asked.
"I'll be right back." I said.
The closer I got to them, the clearer my intentions became to everyone around that was paying attention.
"Incoming!" A fairly large man said when he saw me coming for them.
Every single member turned to look at me. Jameson smiled and stepped to the front.
"Didn't expect to see you here." He smiled.
I looked behind him at the intimidating people who were eyeing me and then looked back at him.
