(Asa's POV)
I pulled into the lot and grew slightly suspicious. It was almost midnight and very few bikes remained. Fridays are when they party the hardest so that's what made it so strange.
"Think they're partying somewhere else?" Aurora asked.
"Who the f*ck knows. Let's just get what I need and then leave."
"You know, we could've just bought another one at Walmart or something."
"When I have a perfectly good one here? You're insane."
She rolled her eyes me as I grinned at her.
We were halfway up the steps when someone called out.
"Asa? That you?"
It was Vix with Taz right behind him.
I ignored them but Aurora pinched the back of my thigh.
Letting out a sigh, I spoke back."Who else would it be?"
"Asa, they have blood on them." Aurora whispered causing me to turn and look more closely at them.
Their shirts were covered in blood as well as their hands, arms, and faces.
"The f*ck happened to you two?"
They looked at each other and appeared to be having a mental conversation before Taz spoke.
"Some...things went down today."
I glanced around the parking lot and that's when I saw it. Tucked away by the garage was my dad's bike.
Completely destroyed.
"Where is my dad?" I asked.
"We were just about to call you." Vix said, stepping forward as I started down the steps.
"Where is he?!"
Aurora was right behind me, grabbing my hand in hers and holding tight.
"Hospital." Taz sighed.
Not saying another word or letting them say another word, I pulled Aurora back to the car and got in. The ten minutes drive to the local hospital felt like hours.
I was thankful she didn't say stereotypical things like 'It would be okay' or 'I'm sure he's fine'. She held my hand in a death grip the entire way.
It was easy to spot the countless motorcycles towards the back of the parking lot when we arrived. It was even easier to find the owners of those bikes inside because they didn't have volume control.
"Let's go check with a nurse." Aurora said softly, tugging me towards the nurses desk.
After giving her my dad's name and telling her who I was she said she'd find the doctor to talk to me.
"Please wait with...the rest of your group while I find the doctor." She smiled, motioning towards the noisy bunch who had yet to notice us.
"We're not with them. Well wait here."
Minutes passed by before she came back with a doctor.
"You're his son?" He asked.
"Yes, sir."
"Your father has some serious injuries. He's in surgery now. I am afraid that it doesn't look good but we've had people bounce back from worse. If you have any other family I would give them a call."
"How...How long will surgery be?"
"Hard to tell but the surgeon that's in with him is the best we have. He or I will come find you as soon as it's finished."
