33. Truth or Dare

" So... Trav, truth or dare?" Connor asked, his expression suddenly evil.

Travis smirked and said ,"Dare".

Connor burst out laughing and everyone stared at him, confused.

"7 minutes in heaaaveennn!!!!!!!" , he yelled at the top of the voice.

Both Katie and Travis groaned , while the room is echoed with laughter.

Leo stood up and held the nearest cupboard open for them. "Inside, you two", he says , barely able to control his giggles.

Katie sighed and walked in , Travis following behind.

"Have fun brother", Connor says with a wide smirk.

"Shut up, you guys", Travis' cheeks went red as he shut the door behind him.

The two of them sat together, at first, in awkward silence.

"Katie?", Travis whispered, unable the take the tension any longer.

"Yes?", she replied, a little anxious.

"How have you...." he stops as someone banged on the door.

"Have you kissed her yet ??", Connor yelled.

Travis signed and leaned in.

To his ultimate surprise, Katie moved to cover the little distance between them. They smiled against each other. Travis pulled her closer as her hand moved into his dark hair.

Too soon, the door behind Travis opens and they topple out the cupboard, still tangled up together, she on top of him. Katie blushed and buried her head in his shoulder. Everybody burst out laughing , including Travis.

But not Katie. She looked defeated.

"Put them back for a little longer," Annabeth said, noticing Katie's changed demeanor.

Connor realised what she meant and locked the door.

"What's wrong ?" Travis sighed.

Katie looked at him, "You made it totally clear you had no intention of taking me seriously. So why am I here with you?!"

"Katiee..." he began.

"No," she whispered, looking straight in his eyes. "I kissed you even though you said that you didn't want to be with me. And I didn't regret it. You know why?"

Travis looked heartbroken.

"It's because I love you," she whispered. She felt some stray tears escape her eyes and wiped them off, turning away from Travis.

He grabbed her hand lightly, "Princess let me explain.." he began, but Katie shrugged his hand off.

She banged on the closet door and Connor opened it, she walked out of it and sat next to Annabeth.

Travis exited behind her, looking like he'd just been denied everything. He sat apart from the crowd and leaned against the wall.

Connor got down from his chair and sat next to his brother.

The mood of the room dropped. Everyone was silent.

"Sooo...." Rachel began as she got on top the the chair. "Who wants to go next?"

Will raised his hand. No one else was, so he decided to take this bullet for the group.

Rachel cast her brother a grateful look, "So...Will, truth or dare?" she asked.

"Truth," Will shrugged.

Rachel smirked, "What did you and Nico do in the doctors office today?"
