It's complicated.
There are eleven powerful kingdoms, three of which hold greater power than the rest. They're ruled by Zeus and Hera, Poseidon and Hades.
The rest of them by Athena, Ares, Hermes, Demeter, Apollo, Artemis, Hephaestus and Aphrodite.
These kingdoms hold a Choosing every 25 years for their sons and daughters to find their life partner.
The rules :
1 . The children of Aphrodite and Hephaestus are not allowed to be together.
2 . Two heirs are not allowed to be wed.
3 . No one must leave the premises until the Choosing ends, the only exception being a trip planned with permission from a king or queen.
4 . Anyone caught causing harm to the other participants will be given a life sentence.
5 . No pets allowed.
6. Queen Aphrodite has a great say in this ceremony and may intervene at any given time
