Kodaviah didn't exactly know why Brandy wanted to talk to him in private so he was a bit surprised when she had called him.

They had completely forgotten that Esther Marie as well as Khamil had feelings for each other, kind of jokingly gagging when Khamil had put his arm around Esther Marie.

Both of them were now in a private place now, with Kodaviah wanting to know what was up with her.

They had to make this conversation fast though because they weren't allowed to save space in the line.

"Brandy," Kodaviah had called, when both of them were far away from everyone else. "You okay? What's going on?"

"You know when we got arrested?" Brandy had asked him out of the blue. "Or when we were about to do so anyway?"

Kodaviah didn't remember that at all, staring at Brandy blankly for a while.

His eyes had pretty much followed hers and vice versa, blinking continuously at her.

Then he remembered.

"Oh- you mean when I took you to that restaurant, and the police were all up on our case because I unknowingly took you to my cousin Santarico's pawn shop?"

How Kodaviah hadn't noticed that, nobody knew.

The signs were really obvious.

The sign itself was really obvious.

Kodaviah and Brandy were just blind.

Either way, Santarico had been arrested for what he had done because owning a pawn shop was illegal, with Kodaviah and Brandy also getting arrested themselves as well.

Almost anyway.

This had stopped because Brandy had used the fact that her mother and brother had 27 days or less left to live against them.

She didn't want to do that at all, although desperate times had called for desperate measures, she had guessed.

"Yeah, that time," Brandy nodded.

"What about it?"

Brandy had just gazed at him for a while, folding her arms.

And truth be told, Kodaviah didn't even know why the heck she was doing that, then it clicked inside of him.

J Star Valentine had told them that they could have had front row seats to his concert because of the very unfortunate condition with Brandy's mother and brother.

They both remembered that moment together loud and clear.

"Brandy, why the damn hell am I seeing two policemen? I hope you ain't got yourself into trouble again, young lady," her mother had said to her through the other end of the phone, hoarsely.

"No, mum. I just needed to show some proof about something. But don't worry, I'm not in trouble."

What a huge lie.

Quentin and Ernestino had still believed her regardless, which was when Brandy had ended the call once and for all.

They had apologised for not believing her over anything before, agreeing to talk to J Star Valentine about everything.

Apparently, J Star was Ernestino's nephew.

Which had sounded way too good to be true although it actually wasn't.

Ernestino had kindly asked J Star if Kodaviah and Brandy could have gotten front row seats to his concert tonight.

And thank God that the two of them were close because if not then J Star Valentine might have said no to everything.

J Star needed to see what Kodaviah and Brandy had actually looked like though, so that when they were in the queue for his concert then he would have been able to spot them easily.

Hopefully he wouldn't have forgotten what they had looked like, worst case scenario, he had deleted the picture that Ernestino the policeman had sent him.

They hoped not.

That would have really sucked.

"Do you think that rule still applies?" Brandy wanted to know. "I mean- this was supposed to be for his concert last week, but that didn't happen. Because J Star forgot to book it. Do you think he still remembers?"

"Highly doubt it to be honest, we'll never know if we don't try though, so don't take my word for it."

Unanimously, both of them had agreed to go back to the queue, completely disregarding the fact that there were other people in the queue as well.

Not just them.

Inevitably, a lot of people had thrown shade at them because they had just cut to the front of the queue without any explanation.

There wasn't a single soul in the queue that didn't want to know what was going on.

"Hey!" Some mixed Grace thug had yelled, with Kodaviah and Brandy just looking at them as they just were about to go inside.

To meet J Star as well as his girlfriend Shawntae.

"What makes you think you're so special, huh? Cutting in front of everyone in the queue like that? There has to be a good explanation for this!"

Uhm...

Because Esther Marie as well as Khamil didn't even know themselves why they were suddenly cutting in front of the queue like that?

They had folded their arms at them.

Didn't they say that we should save their spaces for them though?

Pfft, Esther Marie had scoffed, laughing a little. Never doing that again. That's for sure.

Brandy and Kodaviah didn't know what the heck to do at this point because they didn't want to straight up tell people that J Star Valentine had reserved spaces for them.

So Brandy lied.

No one had said that the lie was good however, because it wasn't.

It was okay really.

That was what it was.

"Uhm, I need to go toilet."

"Okay, but why do you need to bring him with you?"

Everyone was staring at them now, with Kodaviah thinking of what to say.

They needed to go to the toilet at the same time, which was honestly just a coincidence.

Also, the toilets inside were way better than the ones outside, because someone had said that there were ones outside.

"What? So y'all got synchronising bladders or something?"

Brandy and Kodaviah didn't say anything much to that, instead they had just run inside.

People had started screaming at them again- they didn't care though.

They were getting these front row seats whether other people had liked it or not.
