It was the early afternoon, setting in a beautiful castle. Preparation for Princess Y/N's coronation was ordered to be set up, as her special event was just one day away.
"Hurry up, you fools!" A loud voice roamed throughout the ballroom. A tall, slim woman enters through the heavy wooden doors as servers scatter to get away like prey from a carnivorous animal. She presents herself in front of the help and workers with a determined look on her face as the contrast of dark eyes and pale skin pierced through their stares. Her russet hair was pulled back into a tight bun, which expressed her strict manner even more.
"Yes. Sorry Ms. Blair," one of the servers spoke out. Just from the tone of her shaking voice, you could already tell the server was intimidated off the bat.
In the meanwhile, Princess Y/N laid on her bed, as she played with her tousled hair. Near her sat her baby pink colored dress, purchased specifically for herself, to be able to wear at her coronation event. Procrastination filled the room as the princess couldn't bring enough energy to do something productive with her day. She had a mental list of the things she needed to do. For instance, trying on that baby pink dress was the primary goal of her day. All she needed to do was to walk 10 feet from her bed, slip into the dress, and examine if she enjoyed the look. As simple as this job was, she really just couldn't bring herself to do it.
A sudden knock on her door brings her back to reality, interrupting her long periods of silence and empty thoughts. "Come in!" She yells. Y/N wasn't really paying attention to the women that walked in. She was still distracted by picking at her dark blue nail polish that was painted on her fingers.
The woman that walked in was wearing a proper blue maid dress and looked to the princess with a shocked expression. "Princess y/n!" She calls. "Why have you not tried on your coronation dress?" How could the woman have known the princess didn't try on the dress earlier and left it back to its original place? To be fair, it was in the exact condition that the women placed it on before.
Y/n simply wanted to go back to the lifeless atmosphere in her room earlier where she wasn't being bothered. She just felt irritated as more voices started to appear around her, and rolls her eyes in response.
Her maid couldn't believe the audacity the princess had to give this sudden attitude as this dress was very important to her coronation. "Princess y/n!" She exclaims.
"Elizabeth! Call me y/n!" the princess yells. "You've known me for my whole life!" Y/n sits up in her last breath.
From this, the maid sighs as her frustration ends in a smile. She places herself gently next to the princess on her bed, not moving too fast to encourage this bratty behavior even more.
"Listen, y/n. You've been waiting for this moment for 13 whole years!" she starts, "You've changed a lot after your mother passed away with your self-doubt and negative thoughts, I've seen it. The amount of times you've knocked yourself down, thinking about how you're not a worthy person, its wrong," the maid continues her view down in an intense thinking period, "Its all wrong."
Princess y/n instantly felt a wave of guilt from yelling at Elizabeth, as she shared that touching statement. She brings herself to finally look up to her maid in defeat. "You think so?" She says, the only words she was finally able to get out.
Elizabeth looks at the princess in adoration and slowly nods in agreement. Y/n smiles in response.
"Thank you, Elizabeth. I'm sorry. I'm- I'm really, really sorry." She lets out a deep breath. "You know you'll always be a second mom to me.. right?" She says with a bit of uncertainty. Elizabeth returns a great smile.
"well now I forgot why I want to run away," the princess finally chuckles. The maid snickers in response to the sudden statement. As the two continued their moment, the same intimidating women from the ballroom entered the bedroom.
"Now I know why-" the princess mumbles.
"Why aren't you wearing your dress Princess y/n?" The woman complains. The princess rolls her eyes and gets off her bed. "You were supposed to be ready 5 minutes ago! And that's 6 minutes too late!" "Six?" The princess asks. "Yes? You're always supposed to come a minute early!" Ms. Blair confirms.
She looks at the maid in a disgusted look. "Princess y/n." She says. "If you don't act now, you will have some consequences. It's a tad bit suspicious that you're never on time for any activities. And I think I know why." She looks at the Princess's makeup and stares at it for a long minute of two.
"Princess. If you keep this up, I'm going to fire this wonky maid." The tall lady confirms. The princess suddenly gasps. "No!" She objects. "You can't do that!" "Well, I have no choice!" The women yells. She quickly grabs the maid by the arm and they go out of the room.
"Elizabeth! No!" The princess screams. She runs fast to the door to escape her bedroom, but she was too late; the tall women locked the door. She knocks on the door, trying to get someone's attention, but it was no use. She turned around, her back facing the door. She slowly sat down, while leaning on the door. Her head on her arms, with her arms on her knees.
She felt betrayed. Even though Ms. Blair was only the Princess's supervisor, she felt that there was something missing from her; a part of her. Hours had passed, and the princess was still crying. She decided that she couldn't handle it anymore. Being ruled of, taken cared of "lightly."
She was already independent after her mom died, and people who always typecast her as the useless princess in her castle. She packed most of her things in her backpack that she used to carry when she was in public school. It was a bit small, but it did fit all of her stuff.
She was thinking of jumping out of her window, since she knew how to climb a tree, and it was covered so people wouldn't see her escape. Before she jumped out of her window, she looked at her dress once more. She was leaving her childhood home. All the memories. Gone.
She quickly shook her head and grabbed the corner of her window. Instead of stepping on the tree, she stepped onto mid air. Before falling and cracking her head open, she flew; slowly onto the ground. She never told anyone she had powers; the powers to control the four elements to be exact. She watched a television show one day and saw an episode of "Avatar the Last Airbender." Crazy right?
Unfortunately, she was born with these powers, but never told anyone. It inspired her to train her powers everyday to try an control it, and finally, she did it. She slowly stepped onto the ground. She quickly ran to the ocean near the castle, bended the water to protect her, and she walked right out of the territories like nothing happened; waiting for the right moment up merge from the mysterious sea.
