What's Mine Is Yours

"She's with Evan?! That's why she left. Like a coward" Alex scoffed as the two other team members looked at him confused. Raj looked up from his computer.
"What?" He pretended to be clueless about her seeing Evan.
"One of her little roommates emailed the staff. Check your inbox" Alex said as he kept reading.
"Oh my god, this person is claiming she is pregnant" Chris said his eyes wide open.
Raj felt his heart drop with every word of the email.
"Does it say who sent it? How do we even know it's real?" Raj said trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. He didn't want to believe she was pregnant. Could she really have been this careless to get herself knocked up by the boss/CEO of the company? He suddenly felt jealous and insecure.
"Dude, someone from her communal living crack house sent it. Looks like their initials are IM. It's real you can't deny it" Alex said shaking his head.
Raj froze when he heard him say that, Isabella. He quickly left the room and dialed Mariana's number.
"How could she? This goes completely against what we wanted to do at speckulate" Claire said in disbelief.
"I told her to stop seeing Evan and we all warned her. Now this is how all the male engineers will see us, great" Casey said breathing out.
"What the hell are we gonna do? I knew she left because of Evan. I had a feeling" she added.
"We work harder. We have to prove ourselves now more than ever"
They were exaughsted and felt like Mariana let them down.
"Shouldn't we be blaming Evan? I mean, if anyone? Evan is the CEO. We could easily get off the hook by saying that he seduced her or made her feel like she had to have sex with him?" Rachel said.
"You're right, we still have to stick together as women and can't let her ruin that. All those guys are probably calling her a slut and just letting Evan off the hook" Claire said and they all nodded.
"So that's the plan? We turn the CEO against us?" Casey rolled her eyes.
"I just want to forget this happened. I just really hope it's a lie" she added and everyone sat down confused. They weren't sure how to feel about the situation.
"Where is Evan?" Raj asked his assistant after Mariana didn't answer the phone call.
"You just missed him! He left for a business trip this morning" he said smiling as he sat down with his coffee.
"Shit" he mumbled under his breath and went back to his team room.
"What's wrong Raj? Dont like how Mary anna just strung you along?" Alex laughed.
"Like a sad little chihuahua" Chris laughed along.
"Our relationship was over. I just want to get back to work. The person who sent that clearly wants us to react and until we have confirmation somehow I'm not entertaining it" he said typing on his computer.
He sat and listened to the boys talk and make fun of the situation for what felt like hours.
"Does it really matter anymore? I mean, she quit. We could just say she wasn't a part of the women's group here at Speckulate when it happened" Casey said after a while of thinking.
They all nodded,
"I can't wait to hear what Evan has to say about this when he comes back"

Mariana looked at her call history, Raj? Why would he call her? She also saw that Casey tried to facetime her shortly after Raj. She felt her heart rate increase and her palms become sweaty. Oh no, what if they found out? She wondered how that could possibly be as the only people she has told were Evan, the girls at the coterie, and Callie.
She held the small black box that evan had given her tightly.

A few hours earlier:

Mariana arrived at the airport with Evan.
"Okay, looks like this is where we go our separate ways he said grabbing his suitcase from her hand.
"Do you have to?" She said swallowing the lump in her throat.
"I will be back before you know it. Don't forget to video call me every day and phone call me as well" he said holding on to her hand.
"Okay.. I love you" she said looking up at him
"I do too.. love you" he said as he looked at the large airport behind them.
"Before I go, there was something I wanted to give you" he pulled out his backpack and unzipped the top pocket. He grabbed a small black box and handed it to her. She looked at it confused,
"What is this?"
"Go ahead, open it" he said putting his backpack on again.
She slowly opened the box and saw a key fob.
"Oh my god, Evan! A key to your house?"
"Our house" he quickly added.
"Feel free to go there whenever you need. What's mine is yours" he said smiling.
"I don't.. know what to say wow" she was in shock and suddenly felt overwhelmed with everything.
"I guess now we say goodbye?"
"Bye" she wrapped him in a hug and couldn't stop a few tears from falling. He kissed her on the lips gently and headed off into the airport.
She went back to the coterie, thinking alll the way there.
"Ow" she said holding her stomach. The cramp took her out of her anxious thoughts. She quickly walked into the coterie and into the bathroom.
She shakily pulled down her pants and was relieved when she saw nothing. She wasn't sure what she was expecting but she was always afraid to bleed, even though her doctor told her it was normal to spot.
She walked into her loft to see Callie fixing up her bed,
"Surprise!" She said smiling and giggling. She walked up to her and stopped when she noticed her solemn expression.
"Everything okay?"
"Yeah, Evan gave me a key to his house. He said once he gets back we can officially move in together"
"That's awesome Mariana!" Callie said smiling. Though, she didn't say it but this reminded her of when Jamie gave her a key to his apartment.
Damn Jamie, why was it so hard to stay mad at him?
"So why don't you seem happy?" She added.
"I'm just tired and overwhelmed but I'm so glad your back in here... not that it will matter in a few weeks" she said laying down on the bed.
"Oh yeah.. I will miss you. I might just have to go live in that big house with you" Callie giggled.
"Well, you can buy your own house once you save up after the bar"
"Speaking of, I'm actually taking the bar exam tomorrow again and I'm super nervous" she said sitting down next to her.
"You'll do great" Mariana grabbed onto her hand and she looked at her,
"Thanks" they stayed there in the loft for the rest of the day enjoying the time together as roommates again. They both knew these moments were precious and won't last forever.
