"Last night, I was missing Jamie, a lot.. and I was thinking about the conversation we had about being horrible people and it got me mad. I thought about it for a long time and realized, I'm not a horrible person. I did what I did for other people, because they needed someone to fight for them. Regardless of what the consequences were. If Jamie can't see that then why do I even want to be with someone like that?" Callie said and Mariana nodded.
By this time they were the only ones outside again.
"I wasn't thinking and got up and somehow ended up at Gael's door.."
"No, oh my god" Mariana said listening intently.
"He opened and we just started making out.." Callie said shaking her head shamefully.
"I regret it so much because when we were done all I could think of is Jamie and during the entire thing all I could think of was me having sex with Jamie and not Gael" Callie said.
"So you guys had sex?" Mariana said quietly and Callie nodded.
"It was very quick though and was mostly just oral" she said trying to justify her mistake causing Mariana's eyes to widen.
"Oh wow.. look you and Jamie technically aren't together right now anyways."
"I know, I just hate that I still go back to him, you know? And I'm not even sure if I love him or his-" She said and Mariana cut her off,
"Uh, yeah... well, you have to decide what you want."
They went back inside and Mariana went into her loft.
Isabella was already sleeping thankfully.
The next morning Mariana was feeling great.
She grabbed her coffee before heading to work.
"Someone looks happy today" Claire said causing Mariana to wake up from her daze.
"Huh?" She said nervously and Claire laughed,
"Calm down it was just an observation"
"Yeah, well, I've been happy lately" she said hoping she wouldn't ask her to elaborate.
"So a bunch of us girls are gonna go out for drinks this weekend, care to join?" She said
"Yes! Of course I would love to" she said back.
"Awesome" Claire smiled and walked away.
Mariana was still unsure if they liked her anymore or if they were just being totally fake but she figured having a girls night with them would clear up any tension and keep Evan and her relationship safe.
"I need to make an announcement" Evan said and everyone including Mariana walked over to see what he had to say,
"So, as many of you already know I will be leaving next week for a month to visit my grandmother who is very sick. So in the meantime I am leaving my assistant in charge" he said and Mariana scrunched her eyebrows together.
She had no idea he was leaving and for a whole month,
"Can I talk to you" she said to Evan as he was walking to his office.
"Not right now " he continued to walk and then entered his office.
She let out a sigh, that was a little rude.
She knew he wasn't the best at social interactions and they were supposed to keep their relationship quiet while at work but she couldn't help but feel hurt by his actions.

Jamie arrived home from work and saw that Callie had taken her boxes of stuff already. His apartment felt empty without her and as much as he hated to admit it, he missed her.
He went into bed for the night when he heard crinkling under his pillow, he got up and lifted it revealing a note.
He knew it must have been from Callie,
He didn't want to at first but his curiosity got the best of him as he opened it up to read it,
"Jamie,
I know you hate me right now and I hate me right now too but please give me another chance.
I will try to be better for us because I love you.
Let's talk I'm sorry,
Callie"
Jamie read the note crinkled it up and threw it on the floor.
"She can't help herself" he mumbled before closing his eyes to sleep.

Mariana walked in to the coterie to see Callie and Malika sitting on the couch,
"There she is" Malika said smiling and Callie patted the seat next to her.
"I found out my trial is next week" Malika said
"Oh my gosh" Mariana reached out to grab her hand.
"It's gonna be okay" she said
"I know, I'm hopeful and I have faith" she said before taking a sip of her drink.
"Want me to pour you some?" Callie said but Mariana immediately shook her head,
"No I'm not feeling too good today.. maybe tomorrow" she said getting up and heading into her loft.
She couldn't stop thinking about Evan, she didn't get to talk to him today before she left. She felt like he wasn't interested or as serious as she was.
She got out her phone and dialed his number.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Evan, it's Mariana"
"Oh yes, how are you?"
"I'm good.. actually kinda upset you never told me you were leaving soon. I want to hang out"
"I'm sorry, you know I get so busy it must have slipped my mind. We should, how about my place this Saturday?"
Mariana's face lit up, she had never been over to Evan's house yet.
"Yes, oh wow that would be perfect"
"Great, I will see you at 6 pm then?"
"You will" Mariana said with a giggle.
They hung up and Mariana went back out with Malika and Callie,
"I'll take that drink now" she said
