my body clearly didn't want me to sleep so, i woke up very early, excited to begin the day, i was already up and ready to go but we still had about two hours before i had to leave, so i decided to rehearse. the more practice the better, right?

this was my first duet so i wanted to sound amazing, i messaged eric vetro, my vocal coach to ask him if he was free to do some warm-ups with me before i left for the studio and he said he would call me in a while. so i quickly had some breakfast of avocado toast and a coffee before rushing back upstairs to warm up on my own before he called.

shortly after, my phone was buzzing - a facetime call from eric, i immediately answer and see his face on my phone, "hey vetro." i say, calling him by his nickname with a soft smile, he smiles back, "hiya."

"so you wanted to do some warmups?" he asks and i nod my head.

"yeah, i'm recording my duet today and i wanted to warm up before i go to the studio." i tell him.

"well let's begin then, yeah?"

after i had warmed up for about an hour with vetro, i felt confident that i was going to be able to record this song on at the first ten takes of the song.

so now i have half an hour to leave so that i'm not late to the session, i quickly grabbed my notebook, my bag which was pre packed earlier this morning and fixed my makeup before i rushed out the house and to the session.

i was also excited to see shawn today, i feel like we're growing closer, which is a good thing, i think.

"hey guys." i say breathlessly as i walk through the door of the studio room, shutting it behind me.

"you're late." my manager says and i roll my eyes playfully, "by two minutes, ju."

natalie wasn't here yet, she is two minutes late, i wonder if she's ok? she isn't the kind of person to show up late, in fact since i've met her she's always been early.

extremely early.

in that moment the studio doors opened, i immediately look up from my phone, natalie. my eyes scan her head to her toes, i have no words, how does a girl manage to look so attractive in the most simplest clothes?

she was wearing this extremely oversized grey zip up jacket and her classic air forces, her hair was slicked back into a ponytail and she had little to no makeup on, she looked stunning.

stop thinking about her shawn.

my brain is right, i should stop thinking about her but i can't, right now and the last couple of days she's been the only thing i could think of.
