𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐫�...
today was the day, today my debut album was coming out.
i couldn't be more nervous, excited, anxious and literally any other word to describe fear, panic and happiness, this album literally holds my heart and soul of the last couple years, every incident that's ever happened, and every journey i've taken.
hence it being called 'whirlwind', because the past couple years of my life have been a whirlwind - losing an ex boyfriend and a brother, being estranged from my parents for a while, entering an emotionally abusive relationship, being diagnosed with ptsd, anxiety and depression and then also finally leaving the abusive relationship and being happy with yourself.
shawn told me to come over at around nine, three hours before the release of my album, i assume those hours are to spend to talk to people and what not which was going to be fun.
"ally! what do i wear?!" i ask her through the phone, she was coming to the event too, she was also getting ready but at her place. "like do i go casual or what?"
"why don't you just go in what you would wear if you were at home?" she suggests and i raise my eyebrow at her comment.
"ally? if i was at home, i'd be in pyjamas, i'm not going to a party in pyjamas, now am i?" i tell her, making her sigh.
"yeah you got a point." she says, i can hear her shuffling through her drawers, probably looking for something to wear herself. "oh what if you wear like that black shirt you bought the other day with the puffed sleeves? and like some jeans? casual and cute."
now that, is a good idea.
we talk for a little longer whilst we both get ready and then we hang up when ally is on her way over to mine, i just had my hair left to do, well i had to put my extensions in and style them but ally was going to help me with that.

ally and i reach shawn's house, i was a nervous wreck, when told me he was going to host an album release party for me i was surprised, i didn't think he was actually going to, but then he started planning it, and of course i let him, i wasn't exactly going to say no.
"you ready?" ally asks, looking over to me, her hand waiting to knock on the door, i take a deep exhale and nod my head.
"yeah."
she knocks on the door and immediately the door opens, shawn revealing himself - he was wearing a beige shirt with some patterns of what looked like art on them, he also wore some lightwashed denim jeans.
he looked amazing, "hey ally." he began, looking at her with a smile, "come in." she thanked him and waltzed right in, under his arm that was resting on the door frame.

"how are you feeling?" shawn asks, sitting down on the couch besides me, we were ten minutes away from the release, "nervous? excited? c'mon talk to me." he wraps an arm around my shoulders with a chuckle.
"am i supposed to feel this scared?" i ask him quietly, the crowd of people making noise behind us. it felt like there was everyone here but in reality it was just the label members, my team, my family and some friends. "like, i don't know-" i begin, taking a deep breath. "i feel so scared for people to hear everything that's yano happened to me, the last thing i want is for people to pity me-"
"hey hey hey stop that right now, no one is going to pity you, no one, you're a brave person for all the things that happened to you."
"ok everyone gather round!" a representative from the label says, making everyone turn their heads. "we have five minutes before the release, natalie are you ok to hold a livestream for the release?" they ask and i nod my head.
"yeah."

"5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and it's out everyone! go stream it go go go!" shawn shouts into the livestream, making me laugh. "go stream whirlwind right now! stop whatever your doing and stream."
"shawn, i think they got it the first time." i tell him as i calm down from laughing.
"wait does this mean i can listen to these songs now?" ally says and i nod my head, smiling at her. "wait let's put it playing on the speaker!"
ally connects her phone to the speaker and begins to play the first song.
this night is such a success, so far.
