The Sound

A/N: Um... Idk about this one. It was very impulsive to write, and I can't remember where I got the idea from. It seemed good at the time. Yeah, let me know what you think at the bottom. 

Killua's POV

I start awake. Something is making noise. I sit up in bed, and see Gon next to me also waking up.

 He sits up too, and rubs his eyes before looking at me. "Did you hear that Killua?" He asks, his high pitched voice raising his voice in question. His voice is so beautiful. He always looks at me with big eyes, raising his eyebrows and opening his mouth in a small circle. Ack! He's just my friend.

"Um, Killua?" Oops! I got distracted and forgot to answer his question.

"Yeah, I heard it." I reply.

"Awoooo-Aurghklshplopelfropilooooooooooooo..." The sound happens again, this time louder. My heart skips a beat and my breath becomes shallow. I actually am really afraid of unknown noises, but I try my best to act calm. 

"Awoooooooooooooooftgyhjntuygihnjieeeeieiei..." The sound becomes more often now.

It happens again and again before Gon says, "Let's go investigate." He's always so brave. I wish I could be like that. But do we really have to go search for it?

"O-Okay." I say, trying to stay calm and look cool in front of Gon. If you haven't guessed by now, yes, I have a little bit of a crush on Gon. Don't blame me! Look at him! >///<

We go out of our room, and down the stairs. Aunt Mito, Gon's aunt, is out of the house tonight, so it's just us. The sound seems to be coming from the basement. It's getting louder, and now almost never has a break in between the sounds.

"We'll go down there then. Come on." Gon says, grabbing my hand and leading me towards the stairs. I suck in a breath, half out of nerves, and half out of the fact that Gon was holding my hand!! 

Now Gon and I are at the bottom of the stairs. The sound is overpoweringly loud, and I could hardly hear anything besides it. Gon clutches my hand tighter, and I think Maybe he's scared too. Walking slowly behind Gon, I follow him to the back of the basement, where out of the closet there is colorful eerie light.

(A/N: I just realized I put rainbow light coming from the closet. Maybe it's a sign. XD)

"What is that?" Gon asks, loud enough for me to hear even over the noise.

"I don't kn-" My voice is cut off, because the light changes into shapes. 

The shapes blind me and suffocate me, and then pounding starts in my head. I open my eyes enough to see Gon fall to the ground, covering his ears. 

Gon! The pounding in his head must be too much! What is this noise! Why is it here? Pain shoots through my head, and I collapse next to Gon. Gon manages to lift his head, and stands, almost falling over again.

"Killua... stand... we have to go over... there..." I look to where Gon is pointing, and see a spot of the room uncovered in the light. I stumble and wobble, and make it to the corner. I slide down against the wall when the pounding in my head stops, clear of the light.

"Hahh...Hahh..." Gon pants next to me, also on the floor. 

"We're trapped." He says. I look around and realize he's right. The stairs are completely surrounded by the shapes and the light.

"I don't think we'll make it if we go back through there." Gon says, scared written all over his face.

"Well, if this is it then, I better say this." I pause and Gon tilts his head to the side. "I-I... I like-like you Gon, and I wanted to tell you in a special way, but I guess this is it. I wanted to be more than friends with you." I blurt, stumbling over my words.

"Killua... I'm sorry it has to end this way. I feel the same way, ever since you looked at me the first time. You make my heart flutter and my face flush." Gon says, looking down, and then suddenly looking up at me, grabbing my hands.

"Kiss me th-" For the second time tonight, my words were cut off. Gon pulled me closer and kissed me, softly, gently, just letting us enjoy our last moments together.

After a minute or two, Gon broke away, letting our noses still touch.

Then I woke up for real. 

(A/N: I'm sorry wot. I wrote this a while ago, and now that I'm editing it for posting, I realize how cringy it is!! Like, it's not like they are gonna die there! It's only been a couple minutes! Also, side note, put in the comments what you think the light is. I have an idea, but I want to know what you pictured. Thanks for reading!!
