The Catch

Gon's POV

"Wow, Killua! You're so good at tree climbing!" I say, watching Killua move fast through the branches. Killua's so amazing.

"That's weird, Gon." Killua says, stopping on a thick branch.

"Why?" I reply, having no idea why that would be weird.

"Because that's embarrassing." He says, face reddening. Why would that happen?

"Fine then." I go farther up the tree and stop on Killua's branch.

"Gon, Do you think this branch is able to hold both of us?" Killua asks.

"Well, to check, we have to put our arms together. If the branch is thicker than both of our arms, then it's safe." I say, placing my arm down on the branch. Killua puts his arm next to mine, and when they touch, his face flushes, and he doesn't look at me. Killua's acting strange, but to be honest, my face is probably red too, because we're touching.

"I-It looks fine." Killua says, yanking his arms away.

"Okay." I say, hardly even getting a chance to see, but taking my arm back too.

All of a sudden, when Killua turns away, he starts falling backwards off the branch. I lunge forwards, pinning his knees down on the branch and grabbing his back so he doesn't fall. With all of the movement, I almost fall too, but I manage to stay on the branch.

Killua's face flushes, and he says, "Can you pull me up all the way now?"

"Sure." I move backwards on the branch, pulling Killua straight up. "I think you should lean against the tree trunk for now, so you don't fall again." I say.

"Fine." Killua moves so he is leaning against the tree trunk

After a moment, he says "Gon, can you stop touching me?" His face flushes as he says it, and he looks away. I realize my hands are still touching his knees from when I was holding him on the branch. I blush and take my hands away.

"Um, Killua?" I scoot closer, so our knees are almost touching.

"What?" Killua says, face turning red again. Forgive me for asking this, Killua!

"Why are you blushing so much when we touch?" I say, blushing a little.

"... I-I... I like you Gon. As more than a friend."

"Oh, so that's why it's weird. Okay." I subtly move an inch closer, and now our knees are brushing against each other.

"T-That's it?" Killua looks at me questioningly, like he expected something different.

"I like you too, Killua." I turn away, looking off into the distance, but put my hand over Killua's on the branch. Ack! I'm so cringy!

"Why didn't you just say that at first?" He says, turning to me. Why didn't I?

"I don't know. Becau-" I get cut off because my mouth is covered.

Killua has both of my forearms in his hands, and is pulling me forwards. Our knees our completely touching, and we're turned almost all the way facing each other. Then I notice that Killua's kissing me! I  did not expect that!

Killua breaks away for a second, and I try to talk. "Ki-" He doesn't give me enough time before kissing me again, pulling me closer this time.

I pull backwards after a minute. "Killua!" I shout, and then say quieter, "I did not expect that."

"Did you like it?" Killua asks, looking worried for a second.

"Yeah that was great! Thanks Killua!" I say, bringing my face inches from his.

"You're welcome!" Killua says, face turning red just a little bit.

I give him a small peck on the cheek, and then watch the sunset. We hold hands, leaning against each other, and watch the sun fade into the distance. 

A/N: I just realized how dumb I made Gon in this sorry! Also, sorry about not posting on the usual schedule yesterday, but I'm posting now, so forgive me! Next week will be a two part, one on Monday and one on Thursday. 

I've been busy writing SasuNaru fanfiction as well, and a KilluGon full book/story, so let me know when you want me to switch to posting those instead or a mix of this and those.
