Kaia's POV

I woke up the next morning , for a moment I almost forgot that I was in the hospital. But thankfully it's my last day in here and I get to go home.

Now that my brother and I are closer than ever, I think it will be great to be calling it home.

Maybe my mother is not as mad with me anymore and she got to think about everything that has happened.

"Hey sleeping head." Aiden said. He slept with me the whole night which is honestly more than I've ever imagined he would do for me.

"Hey." I said as I tried to sit down, but my right leg began to hurt, like hell.

"Take it easy." Aiden stood up and helped me sit down better. "You need to stop moving or that leg won't get better."

"Thanks." It's still so weird to me to see Aiden so brother-like.

I really never imagined it would happen this way nor this life.

There was a knock on the door and in came the doctor.

"Well good morning Kaia, Aiden." We said hi back as in came also a nurse. "So today you'll be able to leave, but remember that you won't be able to walk for a while. So the hospital has provided you with a wheelchair and you shall be in it as long as you want to move from place to place."

I nodded and the nurse brought the wheelchair.

"As soon as you are ready, you may leave. Your dad came a little bit earlier to firm the papers and now everything is ready."

"He didn't stay?" Aiden asks.

"I'm afraid not. You'll have to take a taxi. Do you want me to tell the receptionist?"

They didn't come to help me.

Are they that mad at me?

"Yes please."

The doctor nodded and they left the room, leaving the wheelchair behind.

I stayed silent as I was trying to figure out how to move without my leg hurting so much.

I need to take a bath and change into the clothes my mother left yesterday for me.

But how?

"Here, let me help you." My brother came towards the bed and somehow managed to lift me up bridal style.

"I didn't know you were so strong brother." I said while laughing a bit as he was actually struggling, but was able to sit me down on the bathroom chair.

"Haha." He laughs in sarcasm. "I'll bring you the clothes once you are ready."

"Thanks."

***

After a very difficult shower and my leg hurting so bad, Aiden called the doctor again and he left me with some painkillers. Which will help, but not that much. Or at least he said.

That stupid shark really almost killed me.

"Ready?" He asks, as he helped me sit on the chair and opened the door.

"Yup. As I'll ever be."

He smiled encouraging me.

When we were about to head to the door, someone said my name "Kaia! Wait!"

It was Louis.

Aiden turned my chair around so we could see him running towards us.

"Louis? What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to come for your release day and give you a ride home, if that's okay?" He asks, while looking at Aiden as well.

I look up to Aiden and he looked down to me.

"I guess it's better than taking a cab." He said casually.

"Great." Louis said and smiled at me. "I can help her if you want."

"No, it's fine, I got it."

Well now that's a first.

Aiden is surprising me more and more with the words he says.

When Louis opened the door for the three of us, we were surrounded immediately by paparazzi's and reportes.

"HOW DO YOU FEEL AFTER ALMOST DYING IN THE OCEAN?!"

"WHO IS THIS? IS HE YOUR BOYFRIEND?!

"WHY DID HE SAVED YOU? HOW DO YOU KNOW EACH OTHER?!"

What the hell is happening?

My brother tried to make them give us some space, but they wouldn't move.

"GET THE FUCK OFF! DON'T YOU SEE SHE JUST CAME OUT OF THE HOSPITAL?! GIVE HER SOME SPACE!" Louis yelled and somehow, they obeyed him.

My brother and I didn't said a single thing until we reached Louis' car and got inside.

This was all so overwhelming.

"What the hell was that?" Aiden asks. I was still in shock, trying to process all of this.

"I guess the event got a lot bigger than expected." Louis said.

"But why would people get interested in this? It's not like I'm famous or anything."

"I don't know, but hopefully they'll leave us alone now."

"You think so?" I asks.

"I hope so." Aiden added.

Once we got home, it all seemed so normal.

As if I wasn't just at the hospital and almost died.

Louis parked in front of the house and looked back at me when my brother went out of the car, ready to help me.

"Thank you for bringing us Louis." I said. "You really don't have to keep doing things for me. You've done more than enough."

"It's okay, really." He said and smiled at me. There was a moment of silence before he took out his phone. "Here, put your number on my phone so we can stay in contact."

I smile at him, he was so sweet.

I took his phone and typed my phone number on his.

"I'll text you." He said, with a small smirk.

I can't believe that this is actually happening.

My brother opened the door and helped me sit down on the chair.

"Thanks Louis." Aiden said. Louis nodded and I look at him one last time before my brother closed the door and he drove off.

But before entering the house, I received a message.

Is it normal that I already miss you?
