Kaia's POV

So today it's the first night at Louis' house and I'm honestly very nervous. He told me that he's mom was totally okay with it but he has so many sisters and I still haven't met them yet.

Will they like me? I don't know and I'm scared of that answer.

"Are you ready?" Louis asks as we were outside his house, with all of my stuff around us. I don't actually have that many things, only the essential, since I can still go to my house or ask Aiden to give them to me if I need anything else from my room.

I just nodded, since I'm afraid that the words are going to give it away that I'm actually not ready.

He opened the door with his keys and I could hear kids yelling and laughing. The house was a little bit messy but it's okay.

"I'm home!" Louis yelled, which made me scared for a bit because I was not expecting it. "This is how my home actually looks like on a normal day..."

Laughing a bit, actually still nervous, Louis guided me to the kitchen. "Mom?" He asks and when I saw inside, Anne was cooking dinner.

"Hey Lou." She said. But since she wasn't facing us she couldn't see me.

"I have a guest... remember?" He asks.

"Oh yeah! Kaia!" She turns around and when she sees me she literally came to hug me, even though she had her apron on and it was kind of dirty, but it's okay.

"Hi Mrs. Tomlinson." I said and hugged her back.

"Remember, call me Anne. Mrs. Tomlinson just makes me feel old."

I giggle a little and nodded. "Sorry. Anne."

"Better." She smiles at me and then looks at Louis. "SO? Show her where she'll be staying."

"Yes, yes."

"Dinner will be ready in 20 minutes." Louis nodded and we went out of the kitchen.

"So, since you are still on your wheelchair, you'll be staying at the guest room, which is not big, not really. Or at least not as big as yours, but it's better than having to go upstairs." He said as he opened the door to the guest room which I haven't seen before.

It's not bad at all, I can get used to it.

"I'll let you get settled in. I have to say hi to my sisters." I nodded to him and he smiled at me as he closed the doors to my new temporary room.

Louis' POV

As I closed the doors I catch my breath. I don't know why I'm so nervous.

She is staying at my house, she's the one who should be nervous. But she seems to be just fine.

I went upstairs to my sisters rooms and the toys where everywhere.

"LOUIS!" Phoebe yelled as she saw me and came running towards me, making me lift her up and hugging her. They make me feel less nervous. "Is your girlfriend here?"

"She isn't my girlfriend." I said and put her back down. Lottie came inside and shook her head.

"Sure sure."

I roll my eyes at her and nodded. "Yeah, Kaia, my FRIEND is here." I said and they all looked at me with giggling eyes.

"I wanna meet her!" Daisy said as she came over here as well.

"You'll meet her when dinner is ready." I said and they all where so excited for some reason.

"DINNER IS READY!" My mom yelled and all of my sisters looked at me with those stupid gossip eyes.

I stood up and went downstairs, followed by my sisters.

They wanted to follow me to Kaia's room, but I stoped them. "Don't. You'll meet her at the table."

Rolling their eyes they went to the table and I knocked on the door.

"Come in!" She said.

I opened the door and saw that she had most of her stuff already in the closet and in the cabinets.

"Dinner's ready." I said and she nodded.

"Do you want me to help you?"

"No no I'm fine Lou." She said as she was managing very well her wheelchair.

"You sure?"

"Yes, I'm fine."

I nodded and we both went to the table, where my mom and my sisters where waiting.

When we approached the table they all looked at Kaia.

"Guys, this is Kaia. Kaia these are my sisters." I don't know if she's nervous but she looks fine to me.

"Hi." She said casually.

"Hello!" Daisy said and they all followed.

First it was a bit awkward. My mom made pasta, which is very common in this house and everyone began to put in their plates. I helped Kaia, of course.

Everyone was silent, not really knowing how to start.

"So, Kaia. Do you have any sisters?" Lottie asks. Thank you Lottie for starting a conversation.

"No I don't. I have two brothers." I look at her with questioning eyes. Isn't it only Aiden? She looks down at her plate, suddenly aware of what she said when she looked at me. "S-Sorry, um, I have one brother. His name is Aiden."

"Why did you said that you have two?" Phoebe asks. I felt the air immediately change.

I kept looking at Kaia and now she looks so sad. "I had a little brother, but h-he passed away a few months ago."

Oh shit.

Now I don't thank you Lottie. This wasn't the best way to start a conversation.

Why didn't I know that? Or did I?

I'm I missing something?

"Oh we are so sorry Kaia." My mom said and Kaia closed her eyes and I could tell she wanted to cry.

"No it's fine." Kaia said and swallowed her tears.

"What do you like to do on your free time?" Daisy asks. Thank you Daisy, a more normal conversation.

"I like to surf."

"But how are you surfing right now?" Phoebe asks. Oh my God. Stop.

"Of course right now I can't. But I used to like surfing a lot and I would love to get back to it."

She's handling this way better than me.

I'm about to lose my shit if my sisters keep this up.

"Are you exited to stay at our house?" Fizzy asks.

"Of course, and I'm so grateful that you all have received me here. Truly, thank you."

"It's totally okay. You are very special to Lou and if you are special to him then you are special to us."

I smile at my mom and thanked her with my eyes and I could see the weight lifting from Kaia's  shoulders.

Everyone then was having their own conversations after that and it was way better now.

I don't know what came to me, but I decided to put my hand above Kaia's and it felt so great.

I looked at her through the corner of my eyes as I was talking to Lottie who was by the other side of me.

She was smiling and so was I.

This is going to work.
