*The next day*

Kaia's POV

Opening my eyes I felt like a deja vu was happening right now.

"Oh thank goodness you are okay." Aiden said as he took my hand and hugged me.

"W-what happened?" I look down at my legs and I could actually feel them. I felt some pain but I could actually feel them now.

"They had to do some type of surgery so that they could help you feel your leg and you fainted." He explained, making me remember what has happened.

In that moment, the doctor came in.

"Well you are awake now Kaia. How are you feeling?"

"I feel pain but I actually feel something." I said as I look down at my leg that had the bight from the shark.

"That is a really good sign. Here, let me give you some pain killers so that you can rest and when you wake up again, we can see if you can finally walk better, yeah?"

I nodded and he gave me the pain killers.

"This are gonna make you want to sleep, so you should definitely rest and when you wake up, we'll try to walk."

He said as I took the pain killers in and took some water.

"When she wakes up you call me, okay?" The doctor ordered Aiden and he nodded.

I closed my eyes without thinking too much about it, since I just want to wake up and be able to walk again.

Louis' POV

Yesterday was the worst day of my life so far.

I didn't come out of my room and no one came in.

They don't care about me anymore.

Niall texted me, telling me that Kaia would be okay, that the surgery went well and that she might wake up any minute now.

Should I go and see her or should I stay?

Now I feel like whatever decision I make, they are going to get angry at me.

It's now 11am and I still haven't come out of my room, but I began to feel hungry.

I need food.

Opening the door, I checked that no one was in the hallway and literally, run downstairs, quietly so that I wouldn't bump into anyone.

But sadly, there was one person in the kitchen.

Lottie.

She wasn't there yesterday when all hell broke loose. So I guess that she might not be mad at me.

"Hey..." I said as I began to take some bacon and eggs.

She didn't say anything and just kept making her pancakes.

I sigh as I noticed that she is also mad at me.

Sometime has passed as I was making my eggs and bacon. Her pacankes were ready and just before she went out of the kitchen she sighs and looks at me.

"I'm not mad." She said. I could tell that she was actually tired, bags under her eyes. "I just don't want to talk to anyone right now."

I nodded and respected her position as she walk out of the kitchen.

I don't like this.

My family has never been this way before and I don't like it.

"Hey Lou." I heard my mom say as she came into the kitchen.

She didn't even defended me yesterday but I can't get mad at her.

"Hi mom." I said as I put my food in a plate. "How are you feeling today?"

"I'm better, thank you honey." I nodded and was about to get out of the kitchen when she took my hand. "I'm sorry for yesterday, I should of said more to defend you."

"It's fine." I said, but I do appreciate her apology.

"No it's not. I'm going to talk to them and make this right."

"No mom, it wasn't just about you. They have been mad at me since I brought Kaia to the house. I'm the one that needs to fix this."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, don't worry." I told her and gave her a kiss on the forehead. But I don't really know how I'm going to fix this.

After I finished eating breakfast, Fizzy came downstairs and looked at me with so much hate in her eyes, once again.

"Fizzy stop it." I said as I stood up from the chair and went towards her, stoping her from going to the kitchen and avoiding me.

"What?" She asks.

"Stop treating me this way. I was only trying to help mom."

"You know that's not why I'm so mad at you."

"Yeah, you are also mad that I brought Kaia to our home. But do you have any idea what she's going through?"

"I don't care. She isn't part of my family."

"Well she is a part of my life and I have to look out fo her."

"More than looking out from your family?"

"No, and I never meant for yesterday to happen, she-"

"I don't care about her! What part of that don't you understand?"

"But why do you hate her so much?" I asks her, getting annoyed by her answers.

"Because she is trying to take you away from us!" She lets out and sighs as she shook her head. "Forget it. You wouldn't understand."

"Are you jealous?" I asks and I couldn't help but smile a little.

She looks at me with sassiness but I know she is. "Oh please, she has the worst life I've ever heard of. I'm not jealous of her."

"I think you are."

"Well what if I am?!" she asks and I could tell I got to the point.

"I would never ever abandon you Fizzy." I said, as I put my hands on her shoulders, making her look right at me. "My family always comes first, but she was having a last minute surgery yesterday and I just had to go, but I came back."

"Why did you came back?"

"Because someone made me realize how important you are to me. And I'm sorry I wasn't here when you heard the news."

Her eyes began to water as she looked at me.

"H-how were you able to go through this alone?" Now that took me by surprise. "It just hurts me to know that you had to go through this without us."

"The important part is that now you know. And we'll get through this together Fizzy." I said and she nodded as tears began to fall down her face.

I hugged her and she hugged me back. "I'm sorry about what I said. About Kaia." She said through my chest.

"It's okay." I said and I could feel her tears in my shirt.

"Are we going to be okay Lou?" She asks as we were still hugging each other.

"As long as we stay together, we'll get through this." I said, trying to convince myself and trying to convince her.
