"Draco...I came here-"
"Why did you? Come here?" He asked, cutting her off. His voice was soft yet cold. Draco stared into the distance at the Manor. His hands clutched tightly in his lap. "You should leave, Ryera. It's not safe for you here. Death Eaters come in and out of here, all the time. The Manor is basically like headquarters. You know, like the one you have for the Order."
She snapped her neck over to him, surprised. The Order is a secret. How did he know? Rye shifted uncomfortably beside him. Not meeting his eye. Draco chuckled and put an arm around her shoulder. "It's not that hard, Rye."
"But how did you know about?"
Draco sighed and laid his head on hers. "If you didn't already know, my mum and Sirius are cousins. They have a house-elf, Kreacher. He's loyal to the Black family. He told us. Though I reckon, none of us know how to get there."
She shook her head at the thought of that disobedient house-elf. She couldn't understand why Hermione ever thought Kreacher was a poor house elf that needed to be set free. Cause if he was, the Order would now be destroyed.
"I'm sorry, Rye but you really have to leave. You're not safe here. I can't afford anything happening to you. Please, just go." Draco begged. It's not every day a Malfoy apologizes. She knew he meant it for her own good.
Rye but her lip and turned to him. "Draco, I can't leave you. You aren't safe here either. Come with me." She held his hands tightly and looked into his eyes. Draco stared at her for a few second before climbing his way back down. "Draco." She called again.
He didn't say anything but continued to walk his way back. She followed him down and jogged up to him. Rye grabbed her hand and he halted. Draco gave a bright smile and said "Pack whatever you want. I leave for Hogwarts on Monday. Let's go somewhere. For the weekend. Just us."
Draco pecked her forehead and made his way inside the Manor. She stood there dumbfounded. With a scoff, she ran back to the front trying not to be seen.
Several minutes passed, she continued to stand behind a tall bush. Occasionally, there would be several Death Eaters passing her inside the Manor. Her heart would stop each time. She glanced at the sky and it seemed to look a little lighter. Her eyes were getting heavy. It was at least 4 in the morning.
The Manor door opened and she saw Draco step out with a bag. He searched the grounds and his face lit up when he spotted her. He looked back at the door and jogged over to her. "You ready? Where do you want to go?" Draco asked.
"A muggle area." He raised an eyebrow.
She nodded with a smile and he grabbed her hand. "Buckle up." He suddenly said. Her eyebrows furrowed and she opened her mouth, about to ask how they were going to go somewhere. But everything started to twist and turn. She felt sick.
However, before anything could come out of her mouth, they were already on the ground again. She looked around and chuckled. "Oh my god, Draco. This is perfect." He, however, eyed people weirdly. Draco constantly stuck to her side whenever they passed by someone. She found it cute.
"You want to get somewhere to sleep?" She asked beaming up at him. Draco frowned and looked down at her. He then sighed and shrugged. It was obvious he didn't like being in a muggle area.
The streets were quite empty but had a few people walking around. It was 4 in the morning so it was reasonable. The two walked to the nearest hotel.
Rye did all the talking while Draco looked around in awe. The hotel was rich and luxurious looking. "Here you are." She smiled and handed the woman the muggle cash. The woman behind the desk, kept batting her eyelashes at Draco. Rye eyed the woman with a scowl, then looked at Draco.
"Excuse me?" She snapped at the woman. The woman glared at her then took the cash. Draco finally looked at the two. He turned his eyes from Rye to the woman. She looked about their age. Maybe a year older.
"Is there a problem?" He asked, cooly.
The woman leaned in on the counter and bit her lip, eyeing Draco up and down. He tilted his head at her in return. "I'm sure someone like her can't please you." The woman glared Rye down, who looked back in disbelief. Draco stared into the woman's eyes and then gazed down at the tag on her chest.
He cleared his throat and took a few steps forward. Now inches away from her. "Listen...Ms.Kathrine, I'm sure you're great but I'm happy with my girlfriend. So if you could just hand us the key to our room, it would be highly appreciated."
Rye's turned to Draco. Her eyes wide. Girlfriend? Her heart started to beat fast and a small blush crept across her face. A small smile formed on her lips. Kathrine scowled deeply and turned around picking up a key from the wall. "Here you are."
She handed the key to Draco, brushing her hands on his and Draco clenched his jaw. "Thank you." He muttered. He pulled Rye to the stairs with him, all the up to the room.
"You handled that better than I thought." She finally said, when Draco closed the door. He sighed and plopped onto the bed. "She's pretty, don't you think? Might want to watch out for her." Rye chuckled.
Draco glared and her and stared at the ceiling. She pulled the sweatpants he gave her earlier and hopped into bed with him. "You okay?" She asked. He gave a small nod and turned to her. His hair now messy. "You tired?" Draco nodded again. Rye pouted and propelled her head with pillows.
She waved her hand, telling him to come lay on her. Draco tiredly obeyed and laid his head on her chest. "They're softer than I thought." He mumbled with closed eyes. "I never knew how comfortable this was." Draco hugged her tightly. Rye looked down at him and smiled softly. Massaging and playing with his hair.
Giving a kiss on top of his head, she closed her eyes with a "Goodnight, Boyfriend."
