December 25, 1997

Once Draco changed into his attire, he held her hand and walked her to the bike stands. It was freezing out and she regretted not bring a thicker coat. Draco looked much more cozier than her. He had a nice coat, scarf, fluffy hat and gloves. She only had a coat and gloves.

She continued to rethink why her boyfriend came up with a very stupid idea of going biking in the middle of cold winter. Apparently he had never rode a bike in his lifetime other than one in his first year. The night was cold and all she wanted to do was go inside. Draco's idea made her have second thoughts.

He pulled two bikes out after paying in the machine and handed one to her. She gripped onto the bike and got on. Draco followed her steps and put one foot on the pedal. "I feel like I'm going to fall." She chuckled and pressed hard onto the pedal, moving forward fast. Draco made a 'are you joking' face and pushed at his own.

He wobbled on the bike a few times before gaining balance. "You sure you still want to do this?" She chuckled, teasing. Rye looked back at him and smirked, increasing her speed. Draco yelled behind her and tried catching up. She can feel him hot at her heels but she was much faster than he was.

Looking ahead, she saw a pile of snow. She licked her lips and looked behind at Draco, who was staring at his feet. She started peddling faster and took a sharp right turn when she reached the pile. Draco who only noticed he was headed for a hug pile of snow after he heard her tire screech, gasped and crashed into the fluffy white mist. She laughed historically and held her stomach.

Draco sat up, his face covered in snow along with his body. His face turned pink and he pouted trying to get the snow off. Draco stood up and shook side to side, getting the snow off. He then turned to her and laughed. She took it by surprise and smiled softly. "I'll get you back, Rye. Just you wait. You'll regret this so bloody bad." He grinned.

She shrugged and nudged her head towards his fallen bike. He picked it up and mounted it again. "Let's head back. It's a bit cold." Draco admitted in agreement. However, this time they peddled together, slowly. Exchanging small talk.

Draco talked about what was happening in Hogwarts, how Snape was now Headmaster. Death Eaters teaching. Hogwarts just not being the same. She felt sad. She knew that after Dumbledore's death there would be a new Head but she wasn't expecting it to be Snape. At least McGonagall would of made a perfect fit.

Parking the bike back again in its place, the two walked inside a restaurant. She wondered if this is why he asked to wear something nice. Draco let go of her hand and smiled at her. "Go get changed and meet me in that hall." He pointed to a dimmed lit hall and disappeared behind a door.

Her heart started pounding nervously. She didn't know why but it did. She couldn't help but suppress the smile on her face. She found the girls bathroom and changed into her dress and waved her wand, making the dress more appropriate. Checking herself twice in the mirror, Rye walked out and followed Draco's orders going into the hall, he mentioned.

Her breath hitched when she entered the hall. It was more like a ballroom. It was big. She now knew that behind the restaurant was a ballroom and this is why Draco asked. In the middle of the hall, Draco was talking to another man and the man walked out with a music box in his hand.

Draco turned around and his face dropped. Music started to play. He blinked a few times at her and smiled with a scoff. She took a few steps towards him and so did he. He took her hand and looked her up and down. "I.....you.." he started. Rye bit her lip and cut him off.

"You look so amazing. You look great." Draco just gaped at her and shook his head, licking his lips. He placed a hand on her waist and held the other in hers. She did the same but placed a hand on his chest. She could feel his heart pumping through her hands sending goosebumps across her spine.

The music started playing violin and Draco suddenly started moving them around. His eyes not leaving hers. They waltzed across the dim ballroom. She felt like she was in a fantasy. This couldn't be real life. Everything felt surreal. She was dancing in a dress that was made for princesses with her prince.

Her eyes flickered from his left to his right, over and over again. Draco's grip was soft and gentle. He didn't harshen his grip or make snarky comments. This hold was more passionate. There was no sexual tension.

She only read about moments like this in books, never has she thought she would be in those books.

POV Change

His eyes were like a magnet. No matter how hard I tried, my eyes were glued to his. Butterflies only grew in my stomach, the more we danced. Nothing in this world mattered. It was only us. We were the only ones on the dance floor. Just him and I.

Draco spun me around and pulled me in by the waist again. He lifted me up and spun me around. I felt myself go light headed. The shock in my veins still stood. Never did I think I would be waltzing with Draco Malfoy, my boyfriend. My...love.

I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with this man. I don't care what he is. He got pushed into something he never wanted to be apart of. If I had known a year back what I was getting myself into, how fucking deep I was getting myself into....I don't think I would've continued.

Everyday felt like a dream. Every second I spent with him made me feel like I was on cloud nine. Draco was and will always be my everything. I don't care what others say about him. Cause he's mine and I never thought I'd say this but I love him. I love Draco. I love him with all my heart can.

I was pulled from my thoughts when Draco stopped and held my hands. He tilted his head and smiled, leaning in. Draco gave me a small kiss, erupting those sleeping butterflies and sighed.

"I wanted to say this when you walked in but....you are so beautiful, Rye. I..you're so...fuck, I can't think straight. You've got me speechless. You're so stupidly gorgeous. I always knew this. I hated you so much for it. Fourth year when you...when you wore that dress, I...couldn't help myself. It took me a lot of energy to not walk over to you and make you kneel at my feet. God, you're perfect and every time you made those smart comebacks, I just wanted to push you against the wall and tell you how much you annoyed me and how much you made me feel want you. Now that I can do these things to you- make you feel good. I can't fucking stop. I just want to keep you happy, Ryera. Every second I want to see you smile and laugh. If you give me the chance to keep you safe and happy after we're older, I will promise to do so. I lo- fuck. I....."

I knew he wanted to say it but he couldn't. I understood it was something really hard to say. And it was okay. I'll wait. Tiptoeing, I placed a soft kiss on his lips and smiled.

"I'll wait till you can but for now....I love you."
