December 25, 1997
It had been months since she last saw Draco and god did she miss him like hell. After that night together, she didn't see him. She woke up with Draco and had to say goodbye, while he went to Hogwarts, she returned back to the Weasley's. Her friends still weren't back. It worried her but she knew they would be fine.
These past months she's been waiting for this day. Not only is it Christmas but Draco had said he would come and spend it with her. She loved the Weasley's. She really did but it wasn't the same as spending it with someone you...adore.
She was caught multiple occasions on her jewelry and where she had gotten it from. The Weasley's never stopped asking about the 'trip' she went on. Her only answers were "It's a secret" or "I'll tell you soon". Fred, however, knew when she was lying. Just like Harry did. He would sneak around and try to look through her stuff while she was taking a shower or when she was helping with dishes.
Christmas morning was great. She opened presents with them and ate lovely breakfast. Ginny had come home for the break but barely spoke to any of them. Her words were short and rather dull. It was obvious because the man she loves is on a death hunt with her brother and closest friend.
It took her awhile to get out of her thoughts about what Christian would have given her if he was still here with her. If he would've pulled a ridiculous prank on her with the twins, laughed along with the whole Weasley family, joked around. How different it would've been.
Her eyes snapped to the window when a feathery, royal looking Eagle Owl landed on the edge. She stood up from reading and walked over to the howling owl. Eyeing the owl carefully, she untied the letter and read it:
Hello Darling,
I just got off the train. These past months were the worst, I tell you. Absolute worst. I can't wait to see you. Thing is, it's only fair if I plan the pleasant afternoon onwards. I have lots in mind and I know you would enjoy them. Hopefully.
Oh, bring something nice to wear and wear something sporty; something you could move around in. I'll be bringing similar two outfits. I miss you so bloody much. Don't be late.
By the way this is my family owl, if you didn't already know he is an Eagle owl. Name is Hudson. He is quite rude so apologies in advance. Hudson tends to bite newcomers.
I'll see you soon, my darling. Wondering what you wear, preferably nothing. Just kidding.......a little. Anyways, I'll be waiting. You know where to come. The place we went on our little weekend spree. The lake. Lots of laughs.
Truly yours,
Draco sexy MalfoyShe scoffed and laughed softly. She looked at the owl and let it. "You aren't so rude, are you?" The owl hooted and flapped its wings around. Reading the note again, she bit onto her nail. "What do I wear? Two outfits? Where are we going if it's just a lake?"
He requested her wear something she could move around in. She chose a simple sweatpants and a loose t-shirt. For something fancy. She held up the covered dress. It was her mum's. Sighing in satisfaction, she packed her bags and headed for the door.
Hudson hooted and flew out the window.
"Going somewhere, Ryera?" Fred asked, with a scowl. He stood up and took few steps towards her but stopped when he spotted her bag. "Where are you going? With a bag? You're not leaving for another 2 weeks, are you? Tell me you're not leaving."
She sighed and looked him in the eye. Fred and her had gotten into a big fight when she returned that Monday morning after staying away for 2 whole weeks. He argued that it was not safe for a girl to wander around like that carelessly when there are ruthless Death Eaters, flying around.
She knew this was going to result in another argument but she wanted to. "Freddie, I'll be back. Like last time. I'm not leaving for long. I'll be back tomorrow afternoon. Please don't make such a big deal out of this." Fred scoffed and grabbed her shoulders making her bag fall to the ground.
"Rye, you don't know how dangerous they are. You can't just go places. Where are you going in the first place? Is there something you're not telling us?"
She shook him off with a glare. She picked up her fallen bag and sling it over her shoulder again. "I'm a grown woman, Fred. I'm of age. I can take care of myself and I don't need to explain myself all the time. You aren't my dad or my boyfriend to be looking after me." She yelled and turned around,
Fred yanked her wrist and leaned in at eye level. "You're right, I'm not. But maybe I might just have to be if you're not going to listen to anything I say. Maybe....I do have to punish you." He hissed. She looked at him surprised and stood there. He had never talked to her like that. Never.
She quickly ripped herself out of his grip and ran towards the door past the kitchen, yelling an "I'll be back soon." She started running and smiled happily when she crossed the border line. Closing her eyes she thought of where she needed to go and everything started to twist.
Her feet touched the floor and she beamed with excitement as her second apparation was a success. The muggle lake was quite blue and clear compared to the one at Hogwarts. She missed the lake a lot.
She looked around looking for him. The sun was setting and people were walking in every direction, assuming they were going home. Tapping her foot, she waited several seconds before she turned around to a crunching noise. Draco stood there in his usual black suit and smiled. "Hey."
"Hi." She squeaked out. It's been a while since they saw each other and it seemed to be quite awkward. Her eyes uncontrollably went over to his ring finger where the ring with her initials laid beautifully. Glancing at her own, she grinned. "What do you have in mind?"
Draco dropped the bag he was holding and walked to her with his arms stretched out. "Oh, Rye. Where are your manners? You have to give your significant other a sweet kiss, first." He teased. She shook her head and kissed him softly, tiptoeing.
"So what's your plan?" She asked again. Draco swung the bag over his shoulder again and sighed. She furrowed her eyebrows and chuckled nervously. He grinned and held a hand out.
"We're going biking."
