Ch. 5- The Truth Comes Out

"Sure." Dan says taking your hand and leading you outside. "What's up? To many Skittles? I know how that is..." He fades off.
Once outside the cool midnight breeze clears your mind. You need to know why they are so familiar. "Dan?"
"Yes (Y/N)?"
"I have a proposition for you." Dan looks at you puzzled. "On the count of three will you take off your mask with me?"
Dan emits a sigh and hangs his head momentarily. "It never lasts does it?" He whispers. More to you he says "You heard that there might be YouTubers here yea?"
"I heard that there was maybe someone famous here why?"
You don't know what happens but in a flash Dan has your mask off. Still not knowing what happened he pushes his mask up halfway and pulls you in. He pushes his lips against yours and you melt hesitantly into his kiss. He backs up and pulls down his mask before you can even see his face.
"FUCK! I MESSED UP!" Dan yells. "I got to go I'm sorry I can't tell you who I am." He runs back inside and in a few seconds he comes back out with his group of friends in tow. Still running he shouts "I fucked up guys! I fucked up!"
"WAIT!" As he runs past you grab his wrist. "How did you mess up?" He tries in vain to get away but your iron grip stops him. He tries to ignore you and struggle away so you turn him around still with an iron grip on his waist and ask again. "How did you fuck up? Who are you?"
"I'm so sorry! I'm sorry I'm sorry!!" Dan says still wiggling in your grasp.
You push up your mask with one hand and lean in. Dan tries to get away even more but you have the upper hand. Your strong bro! Feeling that he doesn't want you to know who you are you tip up his mask with your nose. Just so that you can kiss him again.
You lean in and kiss him melting into it a bit less icily then you did the first time. In a few seconds the trashing stops and he starts kissing you back. Your grip loosens and Suzy from before runs up.
"You can't Danny! Your gunna break her!"
It clicks: who else is a group of friends with Dan, Arin, and a wife Suzy. Just to check you shout out to the remaining members of the group "ROSS BARRY STOP!" Sure enough the fast pace stops for a second but then they continue running.
"Dammit dammit dammit!!! I knew we shouldn't have come Suzy!" Dan shouts and starts thrashing again. "Why did we have to come?!" But Suzy started running away right after she told Dan that "he can't." Whatever that means.
Words tumble out of your mouth and before you recognize what you said Dan stops. "Leigh Daniel Avidan! Stop right this second and tell me who you are!"
"Looks like you already found out that one." Dan chuckles. "Look I know I must seem like an animalistic bastard to you but I didn't want to, ok? We came because Suzy wanted to come. I didn't mean, I don't want to, I'm sorry I-"
You cut off his blubbering nonsense with a finger to his half exposed lips. Now that you know who he is you don't want to come off as some psycho fan-girl of his.
"Hey... It's ok." You contemplate letting Dan go but first you say "I'm going to let go now. But if you try to run away I WILL tackle you. Ok?"
Dan sighs. "Ok." You drop your hands and his fly up to the stings of his mask. "I guess this doesn't do me any good anymore." He says untying the knot holding it together. The mask flutters to the ground and you see his whole face for the first time. There's something in his eyes that just captivates you completely. They make you unable to move. You slowly move under a street lamp and hold his face in your hands. His eyes... Something about them just stops your breath.
