Ch. 20- Bath Time

You go sit out with the rest of the group and flop down on the arm of the couch.

"How high is it?" Suzy asks stroking your arm sympathetically.

"104." You say putting your head in your arms. Suzy gently pushes you down so that your laying on her lap and part of Dans. You don't cry but you really feel like it.

"Hey it's ok. He's gunna be ok (Y/N)." Dan says petting your hair. You lay in a ball mostly on Dan. He continues to pet your head and soon enough you feel good enough to cuddle.

"I'm- I'm just worried." You stutter holding onto Dans waist.

"We are too but I'm sure everything going to be fine." He reassures you.

"One time I had a high fever when I was really little and I went into a shock and then I took a bath and it was freezing but no one else thought it was and then I was almost better. Do you want to try it?" Ross rambles. "I mean it could work but I don't know I'm not a doctor. But it might work." He continues. Ross seemed to be as worried as you and you liked that you weren't the only one who looked concerned.

"Yea if you want to help." You sniffle. "I don't want to take off his cloths but I can run the bath and you can drag him in." Now that there was a plan you felt better. You wipe your eyes that were watering really heavily and stand up.

"My cuddles!" Dan protests when you untangle yourself.

"I'll start the bath. Where is it?" You ask still rubbing your nose.

"Our room. Door to the left of the bed." Arin says totally monotone.

You shakily walk to the room Arin pointed you in and start the bath. "Ross what did everyone think the temperature was?" You shout down the hall.

"Lukewarm." The reply comes. You adjust it to the right temperature and stop it about halfway. Ross comes in with Barry leaning on his shoulder and you walk out closing your eyes.

Before you get out though you hear your name. You slowly creep back in with your hands over your eyes.

"He won't get in without you here. He's wearing underwear so you don't have to close your eyes." Ross says.

"Yes I do. You can practically see past any underwear." You say still covering your eyes.

"Relax (Y/N) there black." Barry weakly says. You hesitantly lower your hands to see that Barry is in fact in black underwear. You blush and sit down close to the bath.

"Alright get in." You say looking at the floor. You hear a small splash and then Barry pulling his foot back.

"That's freezing!" He exclaims drying off his foot.

"Get in or were going to the hospital right now. I don't care that your not wearing anything." You say strongly.

"Alright alright just a minute." He says. Slowly he sits in the bath. He's shuddering and you keep your eyes on anything but him. I mean really anything.

An almost naked man sitting in a bath shivering his ass off is staring at you and trying to make light conversation. When did this turn into your life?

"Why is the water so cold?" Barry shivers.

"It's lukewarm." You say absently.

"It doesn't feel lukewarm."

"I know."

"I would say look at me but that seems weird. What's up (Y/N)? A minute ago you were acting like a nurse to me, making sure I had everything I needed an now your hardly responding to me." Barry asks when his shivering stops.

"Your a man. I'm a woman. Your almost naked. I don't know you." You say watching a bug crawl around on the floor.

"Still you could at least look at my face instead of zoning out completely." The bug crawls under a mat on the floor.
