"Here we are." Melody sets down our food.
We all thank her and start to eat.
"Your hair is so messy. It's almost like (Y/N)'s when she was a teen. It would look like she had a lions main around her head, and her forehead was just covered in acne." My dad eyes Dan's hair, that he tried to brush through. I pull out my phone and text Dan so I won't have to talk out loud.
Me: This is what I mean by super destructive criticism 3:
Dan <3: he's just a total dick
Dan <3: no offense
Me: I know that's why I didn't really look forward to this :/
Dan <3: it's fine don't worry about it .3.
"The new generation is always buried in their phones." My dad scoffs.
"Oh shut it! Whenever you took me out as a kid you would always stare at your little phone screen the whole time." I snap. There's a moment of silence as my dad and Dan look at me.
"That is not true." I want to tell him he sounds just like mom, but a gentle kiss on the cheek makes me bite my tongue.
"I love you." Dan whispers.
"I love you too." He wraps his arm around me and Robert leans back in his chair. He hates PDA.
We all quickly finish our meals, and I pay the check, even though both men offer.
"This was... Enlightening. I will not be doing this again. I'll call you sometime dad." I say as I wave goodbye to him.
"He totally stresses you out." Dan kisses me as he walks us to the car. "How about I take you home, and make slow sweet love to you all night long, 'till you forget we even went out tonight?"
"That sounds... Very nice." I give Dan a passionate kiss before letting him drive us home. The whole ride, Dan whispers dirty things to me, making my legs turn to jelly.
Dan pours both if us a glass if wine before leading me to our new bedroom, and doing just what he promised.
