Ch. 55-Pool Games

"Lauren show everyone where our huge chest of pool toys is." I shout out.

"There right here." Lauren opens up a chest filled with water guns and toy ships and loads of other pool toys. She tosses some boats in the water and they float around with the current.

"Yay water!" Arin yells as he belly flops into the pool. He falls with a sickening thud and sinks into the water clutching his front. Then he bobs back up and gives us a thumbs up. We laugh and sink into the water. Well everyone except Dan and me. I'm still wearing my jacket but that's not what's holding me back. Dan is trying to pin my arms behind me as nicely as possible, which in itself if no easy feat, but I suspect he's trying to take off my jacket.

"Dan! I am perfectly able to swim with a jacket!" I try to get away without hurting him and, after a brief struggle, win. Quickly I dive into the deep end of the pool, jacket in tack, and bounce back up. "Don't even try to take it off now, I'm practically a fish."

"It's not normal!" He cries, almost sadly. "How come we can't see you without your jacket?"

"Because I've decided not to let anyone and I will stick to something if I really really want to. Now get in here you big lump." I get out of the pool, not bothering to ring out my hair, and grab Dan by the waist, makeing sure he can't reach my zipper. I tug him in the direction of the pool and he lets me push him in.

I stand on the edge of the pool admiring my work. Dan is now soaked, so am I but still.

"My hairs so wet!" He laughs as his hair drips water, with no sign of stoping.

My friends, being the perverted freaks they are decide that it's the perfect time to say; "I bet he gets her wet."

"Oh my god guys!" I shout in fake anger. I duck under the water and circle the perimeter of the pool under water. It's a kind of big pool but, as I said, I'm practically a fish. I pop up where I was before and take a breath. Why does Dan even want to see me without my jacket? I'm normal just like him. I sneak up to Suzy and grab her by the shoulder. "Do the Jaws theme." I whisper. She smiles and nods at me. Quickly I sink back under as quiet as I can and slowly make my way to where Dan's legs are. Everyone has gotten into a sort of water fight. I grab Dan by the legs and drag him down. I can hear him squeal in surprise. As consolation I give him a hug and after we are above the water, a quick smooch on the cheek. He turns to me and smirks.

"What's your game?" He asks. I really don't know so I smirk back and shrug. He rolls his eyes and picks me up, in slow motion as the water slows us down.

"This reminds me of my grandma teaching me how to swim." I say as Dan lets me float on the water line. Quickly, my bottom half sinks and I laugh. "I was never good at staying on the water. My grammie always said I had lead feet."

"This has officially gotten awkward." Emily exclaims.

"I wonder what clued you off?" Emit asks. I look around, it's practically couples standing together in the water. Dan and I. Suzy and Arin. Barry and Kit, that I do not approve. And Ross and Holly. I didn't know holly was here.

"Hehe ok maybe. Maybe were just all really socially awkward." Kara suggests.

"Dude we don't have to stay in the pool if your done. Go get changed and maybe take a shower. Well all be out when it gets cold." I wave them off. Then I swim up to the edge of the pool and sit on the edge, waving my legs in the water. Dan slowly walks over and sits next to me. Everyone is in kind of their own world, I don't like it. I like to be doing things and going places making connections and stuff. That's probably why I haven't had a boyfriend sense 8th grade. I always rushed into things and it always ended with my stoping point. I have a point where I just won't go any father romantically or sexualy. Even with friendships I have a point where I will stop reaching out and try to keep the friendship at the level I am comfortable with.

It's something I'm working on.

And probably failing.

"Alright I'm ready to go inside." I tell Dan before standing up. He comes with me inside and I shove him out of my room so I can change. I'll take a shower in the morning, I always do.

"Alright, what now?" Someone asks. Almost everyone has gotten changed except for Ross and Holly. I point them into the bathroom.

"I'm bored! I need stimulation!" I whine.

"I can give you stimulation." Dan purrs in my ear.

"I'll think about that offer." I say back softly. He smiles at me.

"Well we have to go in a day or two I think. Ben when did you book the plane tickets for?" Emily asks.

"Two days from now." He says.

"You should probably pack up then." I sigh, looks like it's going to be a boring night.

"We'll go home then." Ross says holding Holly by the shoulder. They sure are in a lovey mood. Seeing them together reminds me of an episode I watched about a month or so ago. Ross told a story where he was talking to Holly in bed and she noped him. I chuckle at the memory.

"Alright, bye guys. I'll probably be doing nothing so..."

"We'll probably be recording till 6 am." Arin laughs. "Sleepy time grumps!"

Then I realize... I hadn't watched any of the guys videos probably sense I met them... I missed so many episodes!
